The Buxton, BW Signature Collection by Best Western

Stayed for a half marathon in town. Convenient location. Not the nicest place, but fit the bill. Bathroom was tiny. A/C didn’t cool as much as we wanted even set to 66. Other than that it was ok.

The WiFi was terrible. That made things uncomfortable. Breakfast was almost inedible.

This is a very dated property, the stock pictures do not show this. It was loud due to thin walls. Bedding was creepy and old, thin blankets, would recommend bringing your own. The bathroom counters had gunk on them which we had to clean off when we arrived. The front desk person was very nice, but when I called to find out about a $30 charge on my credit card they put me on a 10 + minute hold and hung up on me when I tried calling back. Had to call BW customer service to find out what the charge was. Never received an email receipt so very frustrating that I had to spend time on this. The charge for parking seemed silly as it is a small, aging hotel with a crusty parking lot. Did not use the pool as it was not heated. Would not stay here again.

Terrible stay, terrible people working. Not worth the money.

Property is old & needs remodeling

The staff was excellent and very accommodating, but the property itself was misrepresented on Expedia. This is an old school motel that was portrayed as a regular hotel.

Nothing other than the location

Everything except the location. Not a 2 star property even. Rooms smelled like smoke, beds were terrible. We didn’t even stay but didn’t get a refund. Stay at the Hyatt. We gave up $450 because it was so awful.

Staff were amazing, friendly and helpful! Shower products were nice, good sized refrigerator and microwave.

Place was very dated and looked run down, not like the photos seen on the booking. Breakfast a little basic. Rooms dark and bathroom in need of a remodel, Larger towels would have been appreciated.
