Inn at the Cove

A perfect relaxing vacation. Pretty nice resort with a good location. We got 2 rooms one king and 2 double both of them oceanfront and all rooms had balconies or patio s, rooms were newly renovated and very clean. Very quiet and relaxing stay. Staff was great too especially Martin he helped us a lot, he gave great travel advices about the area and was very nice and friendly.

The view from the ocean front rooms was exception. Straight over the bluff and across the ocean, if you love the sea I don't think you could ask for a better location. Pismo is only a five minute drive away. Beach access less than a minute from the room is also lovely. The beach itself is a mix of pebble and rock, with some nice little tide pools at low tide. Although it is a public beach, we went on a clear warm Saturday and it was not crowded.

This is more a comment about myself than the hotel, but the staircase down to the beach is a few stories tall. It is very well maintained and easy to traverse, but it can be a bit of a workout if you are carrying beach bags or other large beach gear.

I pretty much liked it all the atmosphere. The breakfast was amazing. The wine tasting was fun and be able to walk around on the campus and do the beach was pretty awesome.

There were some locals at the private beach that were not minding their business and they were acting weird towards me

Hotel had a perfect location and the outdoor spaces were great.

Asked for a non-smoking room and the bathroom fan (when turned on) smelled like residual smoke.

The Inn on the Cove is located on the cliffs overlooking the Pacific Ocean. We were on the upper floor, where there was an overhanging balcony with a table and two chairs. We were able to keep our sliding door open and the sliding screen door closed, to let in fresh air and to hear the sound of the sea crashing into the rocks below. There are sliding louvered doors too, so you can slide those across the area where the screen door is to let in air but block the hot sun. The breakfast says continental, but there were premade eggs, scrambled and hard boiled, sausage, bagels, yogurt, some fruit, coffer, tea et al offered. The grounds are nicely kept, there are a couple of overlooks on the cliffs, a pool and a hot tub, although the hot tub, which we did not use. The location is perfect to visit Arroyo Grande, Pismo Beach, Avila Beach, San Luis Obispo and even Cambria and The Hearst Castle if you are willing to drive a bit over and hour. Wine country is about an hour inland, depending on which winery you may want to visit.

What a truly magical place, from the moment I walked into the lobby. The staff was amazing; room was perfectly appointed, not overly beachy, clean and comfortable! Nothing beats the view and sounds of the waves. The breakfast was yummy, staff was helpful going out of their way to show me how to use waffle maker! The grounds are littered with cute places to stop and enjoy the sights and sounds. So restful and completely off the beat path, perfect romantic getaway! Can’t wait to go back!
