Mill Tree Inn

Very dirty. Floors, bathroom, bed. Washcloth - you could see the brown on it! Told front desk and was told "you should of come and got another one". No apology for having nasty linens. No refund. Nothing. We got to Millington once a month. Never will stay there again!!

Stayed here over the Christmas holiday while visiting family that stay within 2 miles. Check in was awesome and smooth even tho i checked in after midnight the clerk was happy to see me and even knew my name! The room was a different story. It was very aged, outlets looked highly damaged, the sheets had brown and yellow stains around the top and bottom that was very visible when you turned them down. Other than that it served its purpose for a bed and shower as most of my time was spent at my relatives for the holiday dinner and party. It was way cheaper than the other hotels that wanted double the price a night, but in comparison i know understand why as these hotels were much more modern and offered better amenities. For the price I would stay again just to sleep..

This is one of those hotels that if you need a room and not much else then its ok. The room was clean and very much in order. TV selection is a little wanting but not bad. Breakfast is wanting with a very small space to eat breakfast. Its far better to go to Ryan's up the road a 3/4 of a mile. When you first see the hotel you would think the hotel need some work done. Stairs are a little small and steep so for visitors that are hurt have to be careful. It also look as if there a people living there short time but maybe because of the Naval post that is there.

when we arrived, it seemed as though this hotel needed some overall help. after we got to our room, that feeling was solidified. we had a 2nd floor room, and every one of the 3 different sets of stairs had a short step, making carrying luggage quite dangerous. usually the steps are evenly spaced, but i guess this hotel hadn't gotten that memo. next, the room was comfortable enough, but the heater/air conditioner made so much noise, it truly sounded like a plane taking off in the room, and when it shut off, it clunked quite loudly. the overall feel of the property was that this was built as a motel 6, and no improvement has been made. the pool is outdoor and kept nicely, albeit, the sole piece of excersize equipment was palced on the very edge of the pool.

I've been to quite a few Quality Inns and this one doesn't rate in the top 10. Very dissatisfied with the lack of cleanliness. Staff seems to be on top of their cleaning moving from room to room, however it seems like the way they're cleaning the rooms are quick but not getting the basics. Comforters weren't clean, floors smelled like they had been shampooed with dirty water or just soiled and I saw some unwanted insects if you know what I mean. It has not been updated in a very long time. Maintaining is one thing, however keeping up to date and cleanliness is necessary. It is a great location, but just an OK stay.

In spite of being low cost, this hotel was pretty good. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was better than expected. A few things in the room could have been better (light switch to bathroom was loose and the caulking round the tub needed to be replaced), but the room was neat, clean and comfortable.

The hotel room was nice and spacious but the pool was a bit dirty. The hotel offered continental breakfast but it didn't have a lot of breakfast options. Maybe offer some muffins or bagels. The service was good, and they were very nice as I checked in late. No problems with check out. The hotel was easy to find. It was right off I-10. The TV in the room was easy to easy. I didn't receive free soap and shampoo every day.

We stayed here one night. The room was clean. It had a fridge and microwave. We used the pool. It wasn't big but did the job of cooling us off. The breakfast was good. Waffle station, eggs and bacon. The staff was super nice. We did have a problem with the knob on the hot water in the shower but was finally able to get it turned on. The bed was comfortable but the pillows were not. They were very lumpy. Overall I would recommend this hotel if just needing a nights stay. Especially if the reason you are here is for the Memphis Intl Raceway.

I picked this hotel because it was closed to the Naval Base and I was there for a Race the next morning. Upon check in I went to the room and as tired as I was I threw myself in the bed for a quick nap. I woke up to take a shower 2 hours later and there was this long nasty long hair in the tub, I picked it up with a tissue and threw it on the trash can. As I was ready to close the bathroom door, there it was, a pair of drawers hanging from the door handle...the most nastiest thing you can imagine. I contacted Front desk and let them know about how unacceptable the room was and that she should tell the management how nasty the room was. A bottle of soda left behind the night stand, hair on the tub, hair on the sheets and the nasty drawers!! NEVER AGAIN will I stay in this nasty hotel would I never recommended to anybody. Don't waste your money, there's way better and clean hotels in the area. I would have pay more for at least a clean room.

Quality Inn...........well it's a bit of a misnomer for sure. I would NOT say my initial stay here was "quality". Rated them average because of price but probably not the best experience and assuredly NOT the best hotel or motel in Millington. Probably more like 2 1/2 stars. I have to agree generally with another reviewer's comments: "The desk staff is wonderful!"--very friendly and helpful. Weird rules about towels, though. They must have a lot of "theft" at the place because they give you a big, long list of what the costs are if anything is missing. Sort of strange for a hotel because I believe it's understood that if you "steal something", you are responsible for payment. But to only give you so many towels and then only issue clean ones upon trading in the used ones? C'mon now! We are neither in the army or back in college dorm days. "But the housekeeping staff is horrible! "...I really didn't find them horrible. Friendly but she nailed it on the head as to forgetful. They don't remember to restock everything and they also seem to do rooms in shifts. Again with the towels thing, where they remove them (used ones) and then return later to "clean room". And that's kind of a misnomer as to actually "cleaning" the room. Rooms are generally nice. Seems like carpet had been replaced sometime in recent past. Have a fridge; microwave and old, very old......Mr. Coffee coffeemaker but they must not be using the correct coffee disks for the makers because if you only use a single filter and coffee, man does it come out WEAK!! Standard amenities as to shampoo, lotion and conditioner. Also the shower lacks pressure; fixtures are in bad repair, maintenance needed and it takes quite awhile to get hot water. So I figure the plant must be a little overloaded depending upon number of guests. The Internet speeds are decent. Free Wi-fi and you are issued a password upon check-in. Parking can be a NIGHTMARE during festivals and big events. When I was here past weekend, older biker groups obviously used the place as a stay point for traveling the Memorial Holiday weekend. It made for a pretty LOUD wakeup in the morning when they left. The pool is well.... A pool. It's fairly small and strata at 3ft then tapers of to a depth of 5ft. Though there is a handicap lift for the pool, which is a nice touch for those guests. Complimentary breakfast, except for the coffee, had NO redeeming qualities. Waffle batter sucks; eggs were fake or plastic like. Amenities lacking generally as to quality. While you don't stay at a hotel for breakfast, it would be nice if they had a little better quality than "inedible". And the space they have is VERY overcrowded and cramped during the breakfast hours open. I want to reiterate the staff was very friendly. But that probably doesn't make up for the lack of maintenance and overall amenities at the place but I might give them a second chance based upon the price.
