Americas Best Value Inn Stephenville

Right after check in I realized my itinerary had changed. I called the front desk immediately to cancel my second night and he refused it. It was well before the 24 hour window. The room itself was overpacked with furniture and not as nice and clean as the pictures.

I was feeling I insecure cause the lock of the door was brokered, the tv was blurry, they have not breakfast as others hotels

The room was way over priced for the out dated sticky room. The ceiling tiles had lots of water damage. The shower head was very bad. The bath room door would not close. There was not any breakfast as advertised.

Tried to change my reservation, after calling the hotel 32 times, and having their phone ring 30 times then getting disconnected. I then finally got a hold of them only to have them tell me they couldn’t help me. They said I had to call Expedia as that is where I made the reservation through. I then contacted Expedia and they tried to help me, but couldn’t get a hold of the hotel either. The hotel manager was so rude to me when I did get a hold of them again and told me I couldn’t Cancle because it was the day of. Even though I had been trying to get ahold of them all week getting no answer! They charged me anyways. I will never book through Expedia again, and certainly never book an American Best property.

No water pressure, no ice

This hotel is run down. No ice, no coffee in lobby, no continental breakfast. We understand COVID plays a role but every other motel we have stayed had at least ice and coffee.

The room was dirty and smelled like old smoke...it was non smoking. The walls and baseboards where very grimy. The hotel is old and looks that way. Furniture is outdated and paint is chipped on the rails and steps. We had no hot water the entire stay. Front desk advised the technician was called... Will never stay there again

When we got to our room my husband saw 2 dead bugs in the windowsill and said they looked like bed bugs. He rang the manager who came and looked, said they weren't bed bugs and assured us they didn't have them. Following photo is proof they do in fact have bed bugs. We had to buy new clothes and find another hotel. I have more photos that exceed size limit to download.

Ice machine wasn’t working, smack machine was empty, had to go into office to ask them to buy a drink. Room was okay, I’d go back.

The hair dryer didn't work. The ice machine didn't work. At first it seemed like the AC wasn't going to cool very well--but in the end it did ok The room was shabby--but clean. The manager was terrific. I've stayed in several other America's Best and they've all been nice. This was by far on the low end. Sorry. But true
