Hair in bed, AC not working properly, didn’t smell as if sheets were clean, crickets inside room

It was clean and the staff was very friendly. Convenient to Tarleton University.

I’m almost positive I already paid on August 6th when I reserved the room,the room had a bad smell,the bathroom was dirty and the linen had a stain on it

I booked a room here for a concert because everything else was sold out. I was very nervous about staying here and tend to be a bit hotel snobby, I was pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness of the room and the office. The man at the front counter was super nice and informative. I said terrible on amenities because the few “amenities” they had were broken or unusable. The pool was a greenish brown and there was no way anyone could swim in it. The vending machines were all broken and empty and the shower desperately needs some updating. But hey you get what you pay for, and this hotel far surpassed my expectations. Cleanliness is excellent. If you’re going to Stephenville for vacation or long term you might spring for the Hampton Inn Or Holiday expresses but for a couple night stay for a super cheap price, this is your place.

The place was really nasty the first room they gave us had a broken AC unit and when I told them about it all they cared about was if we used the shower or not. They finally gave us a new room and the bathroom was filthy. The shower only could do extremely hot or extremely cold no in the middle.

Not outstanding, but comfortable and convenient. We were there to see something of the town (not simply passing through) and would have appreciated having simple city maps available in the lobby. Finding the hotel in the first place was challenging because an address on the loop around town was particularly confusing.

Older property but clean and staff was very nice and accommodating.

The couple running the hotel is fantastic. They are quiet, caring and compassionate. The hotel is also very affordable and clean. The wi-fi is better here than a much more expensive hotel in town in which I stayed on a couple of occasions. Stephenville was hot while I was here (mid-August), but the air conditioning keeps the room nice and cool. I'm very pleased with my visit, and will be back if my travels bring me here again.

Being a cheaper hotel and having read reviews I knew it wasn't fancy. I was impressed at the efficiency of our check in and availability of staff. I especially booked a place with a pool as we were traveling a long way with a bunch of restless kids. I called before booking to check the pool was up and running but when we got there the water was so cloudy there was no way it was okay to swim in. The air conditioner in the room worked but was quite loud so when it stopped and started on the night it was a little disturbing to sleep by. I thought our bathroom looked clean and in okay condition but the next door rooms bathroom was not as nice (we had 2 rooms with our travelling party) The kids enjoyed making Texas shaped waffles for breakfast.
