Americas Best Value Inn Stephenville

I had to change rooms due to the heavy smell of cigarette smoke in my non-smoking room.

I liked the friendliness from the staff and other guests and the breakfast. I didn't like the pool it looked dirty.

Pool was greenish and didnt see a play area. Food area tables were dirty and the waffle fork looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a month or more. The complimentary breakfast was not stocked. Had to as for butter for waffles. The man seemed he didn't appreciate us interrupting his phone time even though we were there 1 1/2 hrs before the breakfast ended. Coffee was the only drink he had available. He decided to put one 6count package of powdered donuts out before we left.

The only thing that bothered me was that I believe a better job could have been done on cleaning the restroom before a guest takes the room, the toilet bowl was nasty. As far as condition I couldn't give it the top grade when there were obvious needs for repair in my room but I didn't score them lower because its an older property. I have stayed there before and probably will again.

pool was no, green in color. grass was high. Staff was helpful and friendly.

The dresser and fridge compartments were dirty, there was roach in restroom, the TV did not work (although it was immediately replaced), the room needed cleaning, the toilet had the urine line inside, as if it had not been cleaned at all in weeks.

I didn’t expect much for the price, but all other hotels were booked. The rooms seemed clean but decor was from the 70’s with some items in disrepair. We had 3 rooms and were placed in the corner of the property next to the soiled mattresses and an open ironing board. Ice machine did not work. Of the 3 a/c units in our rooms, one had a complete louvered front, one was cracked and one was missing Completly. Sheets were comfy but towels were small, rough and thin as tissues. Tv was analog. Soooo, don’t expect much and you won’t be disappointed.

The bed was comfortable, but everything else was subpar. The A/C filter was super filthy. The shower was dirty and the shower head stuck out of the wall. There was water on the floor from the toilet that soaked through to the carpet. The TV sometimes worked, but was mostly blurry and had low volume despite the sound being cranked. The ironing board and all the fixtures were caked in dust. The sink handle was broken. I don't recommend this place at all.

Food was good and Restaurant nearby by was stupendously okay

The best —-very clean 2star hotel I hv stayed in Great price for quick night stop while traveling. Check in was amazingly fast. Small breakfast. But plenty restaurants around. I give it a 4 out of 5 overall
