The apartment is no way as in the photos- it is moldy and very damp, the wallpaper is off the walls and the walls in the bathroom are falling apart since there is a clear black mold under the paint, which you can see and feel as soon as you come into the room. It was impossible to cancel as the owner just kept saying to me that they cannot cancel and booking.com didn't do anything either and I've spent 65 euros on calls to booking.com customer support... I had to stay there for 7 days and I was bitten by the bedbugs at night, I had an allergic reaction to the mold and the thick air in the room - it took weeks for me to finally breathe normally after this horrible horrible experience. This place is on the ground floor and it is basically like a basement- this is how you will feel in there. It is simply unlivable. The manager of this place is super rude and as soon as they will take your money- you will get no response or help. Please be aware when booking anything as non-refundable, because even if you will have to live with the rats in the accommodation, booking will not help you and will not relocate you... I've sent all the proof, and photos of the mold and bugs, yet they were unable to relocate me. The smell there is a mixture of mold and cigarettes which will not be possible to get rid off even with the windows opened. The worst experience ever and I am not even picky.

Location is amazing - central for the trains, bars, restaurants and steps down to the beach. Communication and access to the property was very easy, and Claudia was very friendly and helpful. Apartment was very clean, smart with a good shower. Was good for my short stay.

As per other reviews - the apartment is right by the front door which other users of the building have to/seem to slam when leaving. Not an issue during the day, but I was woken by late leavers/early morning returners. It also fronts onto the square at ground level so you do hear the noiser passer-bys as they cut through to the steps down to the beach. Kitchen crockery was limited, and if there were 2 of you you'd have to share one bowl, also only one small cloth the size of a flannel for drying items (so bring a tea towel with you). There was a sponge and washing liquid. Glad I also brought my own pillow as the ones provided were foam bolsters; a bit hard for me, but that's only my personal preference.

Wonderful location right in the centre of town. Really well equipped studio flat with terrace and a nice bathroom.

The terrace has private access but is overlooked by the surrounding properties.

Very central location close to the night life, good restaurants nearby. Train station is 5 minutes away. Quick and easy check in with a lovely lady (Claudia) who met us.

It's sad that such a lovely property on best location is not really looked after. The door handle of the bathroom was broken, the paint in the bathroom and around the window was peeling down. The wallpaper next to the bed was peeling off as well. For one week stay they left just 1 bath and 1 hand towel per person. We asked for more but the host replied that that's what they can offer and we can exchange the towels mid stay. There was not toilet cleaner nor floor cleaner, only one old broom. There was 200 EUR deposit hold from our credit card that was released ONLY WHEN WE SHOWED THE ORIGINAL RECEIPT - so keep it safe! They have a fee for check-ins after 22:00, that is not mentioned on the hotel page, we knew about it after the booking, our train was arriving in 22:30 so we asked them if it's possible to make an exception but they said - NO. That's way we were forced to catch an earlier train so we can avoid this fee. The most disturbing part was that the main door of the building is just next to the room and people are slamming the door from early in the morning till late in the evening. You can hear it even with ear plugs! It's sad that this problem was mentioned in the previous comments on booking.com but obviously the owners don't really care for the comfort of their clients. Torremolinos is an amazing town with so many to offer and the mass tourism keeps the accommodations busy so the owners don't have an interest to invest and look after the visitors knowing the non-stop traffic will keep their accommodations booked - that's fully applicable to LEMON & TROPYCAL APARTMENT.

Our stay was out of season and there was nothing to complain about.

Excellent little studio on San Miguel square at the top of the steps down to the beach and a minute walk to the main shopping area. Very clean and modern. The patio area is great for eating outside but doesn’t get much sun because of the high walls. Only a small number of niggles - to use the washing machine, the fridge had to be pulled out as there’s only one socket under the kitchen unit and the shower tray leaked a bit. Overall though, we were very happy - in fact we’ve booked again for later in the year!
