Location was perfect. Breakfast was good.

Room was somewhat austere. Toilet was at one end of the room while the sink and bath at the other end, quite annoying.

"Lovely hotel with exceptional staff"

Very comfortable and clean hotel near the entrance to the Old City. The staff was exceptionally helpful, especially Gabrielle, when we needed to change rooms because of outside noise.

"Awful last night in St Malo in a room like a cell with bacon frying at 4am on Sunday morning"

Quiet except noise from cooking and smells (bacon being fried) at 4am - we're vegan so particularly disgusting.

Looked like our room was a converted storage area. It was behind the breakfast room. The only room on the ground floor. High window cills (could only see out at top to see back of buildings in courtyard area). Basic furnishings and decoration. Clean but drab. Possibly given worst room in hotel as we'd booked through Booking.com and had complained room not ready. Not at all like the photos. We will not return to this 4star hotel!!!!!!

Quaint and welcoming hotel in the old quarter. Staff are very helpful and even irganised a breakfast bag for us to take on our early ferry journey!
