International Hotel Killarney

Just enjoyed a return Stay at the international Hotel, went with two friends & we thoroughly enjoyed our Stay, All Staff so friendly & helpful, food delicious & hotel spotless. Situated a few minutes walk from train Station & right in the Centre of Killarney. Excellent Service, will be back. Thank you to all Staff.

Centrally located, but 2 minutes walk and you are in the park, leading to the castle, lake etc. The hotel was super busy, with a number of coach tours staying at the same time. All the staff still managed to cope with us all & remained friendly & helpful at all times. We were upgraded on arrival, which was wonderful. We were offered a superior room, with lots of additional features, including a jacuzzi bath. It also meant we were in a quiet part of the hotel away from most of the other guests. If you fancy booking one of these rooms please note, that the rooms have no external windows. There is a window onto a mock court yard, that has a skylight. Takes some getting used to. But if you can do inside cabins on a cruise you will be OK in these rooms. Breakfast was good, but hectic. Lots to eat. Just a shame about the quality of coffee. I think it was instant, which I don't think is acceptable in a 4 star hotel. You have to pay extra for latte etc. Beautiful decor & bustling atmosphere. Definitely an experience we'd like to repeat.

Exceptional staff and superb location however hotel decor very dated and old fashioned, skips on little things that matter like complimentary water on the room and charging for latte/cappuccino at breakfast

The room was quite narrow and our windows looked out into a dingy courtyard.

The location was close to every thing we needed, food, souvenirs, tours, and the train station. Breakfast was awesome, loved the dining room. The food was tasty and I was able to order items that were gluten free. Merci beaucoup!

This hotel needs to be overhauled. The carpets are worn, uneven/trip hazard and floorboards creeking. It’s a four star hotel but there was no fridge or complimentary water in the room. Old style sockets with no USB points. Shower was too low and wall mounted in a bath. Stepping in and out of a bath for a shower is not what I’d expect nowadays. My room had a gas boiler vent right outside the window so I could not open it for fresh air. Breakfast was poor. Sausages looked like cocktail sausages. Rashers undercooked and eggs overcooked. Beans mushy and served in a small can/pan. Fruit salad was basically chopped apple. Breakfast menu lacked variation. Overall, not what I’d expect in Killarney

Very friendly welcoming staff in a central location with many bars, restaurants within walking distance.
