Penthouse Daniela in Puerto Mogan IX

Location perfect - near shops, harbour, beach, restaurants etc. Private car parking very welcome as we had a hire car for the week. Extremely clean apartment, and a welcome pack with water, fruit etc which was lovely. The terrace is huge and well equipped with outdoor furniture. Raul met us on arrival and was very patient as we had been delayed at the airport. He was charming every time we met him.

We had a power cut on our first full afternoon. Help was rapidly available via our contact, Raul, and his colleague. An electrician came and the problem was eventually resolved but it took several hours . The owner was contacted during this time and alleged on the phone that we had broken the microwave and caused the problem by putting something metal in it! We definitely did not do this!!! We were offended and upset by her attitude. The electrician seemed clear that the microwave had not been properly installed which was the cause of the problem. The afternoon was not exactly relaxing by the time the electrician and Raul had spent several hours in the apartment but at least the problem was resolved. We were also irritated that, on our last evening, while out for dinner, I received 5 phone calls, from Raul's colleague, and when I finally answered my phone she was reminding us that we had to be out of the apartment by 11.00am. This was always known, and we intended to leave at 1.00am, but we did not appreciate our final e==dinner being interrupted to discuss this. Any reminders should have been given earlier in the week.

Clean, tidy, modern apartment, situated in a block a stones throw from the beach and all the amenities in the Puerto de Mogan. Secure underground car parking with an elevator right up to apartment level. The apartment itself is well appointed, with large screen TV, fully fitted kitchen and air con in each room. The huge, L-shaped terrace is accessible from each room, and offers great views of the town and surrounding hills. Raul, the host, made us feel very much at home from the moment we arrived. the only problem that occurred during our stay was the fridge-freezer breaking down, and the problem was rectified swiftly. Would not hesitate to book this property again in the future - a real home from home.
