Guests highly rate the family-friendly activities and frequently praise the clean waterpark.
We came here for a family trip with our 3 kids 2,6,9. Beware for anyone with a toddler. There is only one slide for toddlers no real toddler area, and that slide was roped off for maintenance the entire 4 night stay. Therefore my 2 year old really couldn’t go down any slides really only had the lazy river which was so overcrowded forget getting a tube. I’ve never been in a hotel that has been so packed that you can’t even get on the elevators without a line. The workers are overwhelmed at the eateries. Not to mention the $19/night parking fee where you could never find parking. I would not return to this location. Also really turned me off that I wrote all this in a survey of how my stay was and never got any kind of response.
Everyone we met, staff and public staying at the lodge were polite and friendly. We had a great time! The pool area was clean without smelling, or eyes burning from chlorine. I was extremely impressed!
Family friendly
This place lives up to the GWL standard. Beautiful. Engaging. Awesome watermark. Food is meh… but it’s kind of expected. This was our 3rd GWL we have been to and it didn’t disappoint.
The room was great and comfortable. Online Check in steps followed but delays ensued
.
The staff is very friendly. Excellent experience.
My kids love this place! We keep coming back.
So we ended up paying almost $300 for one night with no meals, passes, etc. But they nick you for $19 for parking, something in the fine print. For that we got access to the water park, but the large tube rides were all shut down due to a lightning storm. So we only had access to the kiddie stuff and the lazy river, but there was no partial refund. Otherwise, you get NO whirlpool, NO Free breakfast, NO lobby coffee, and NO Extra room coffee packets. The place is largely run by teens, young adults, and folks that speak no English, and believe me, they really don't care! A family with kids could probably easily burn through one or two THOUSAND Dollars in a few days with all the purchased meals, passes, and arcades.
Good for an overnight stay near Mall of America. The room was big enough for our group of 5 and we slept well. What I don't like about Great Wolf is that everything is monetized and it's LOUD all the time. Our teen guests did use the water park briefly but since it closed at 8 PM, they didn't have much time.
