Best Western Plus Nottingham Westminster Hotel

Can’t fault the quality of the service I received from the staff. The hotel was of a good standard. Disliked the need to climb and descend so many stairs when carrying a large bag because my room was on the opposite side to Reception on the first floor.

Had a fabulous meal in the restaurant, the waitress was very friendly & incredibly helpful.

I booked a room with a king size bed and 2 single beds as we are 2 adults and a young baby but they gave us a room with twin bed to begin with. I explained about the original booking and they moved us to a room with a super king size bed. I didn’t want to argue to much as we had to carry around so many stuff. Room was unnecessarily big and so hot! I asked about air conditioner as I couldn’t find a remote control and the reception said they don’t have air conditioners in rooms and they don’t promote about air condition. What a disaster! Then why do you have the unit in the room? Shower was so weak and the drain was absolutely slow. I informed the reception about the draining and nothing happened. Last but not least, the building is absolutely nightmare to walk around as elevator didn’t reach our room (3F) and stairs are connected like a maze. Very disappointed about the facility and the brand Best Western. One good thing was breakfast and breakfast restaurant staff. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel at all.

Great hotel and staff

Super welcome and early check in. We were allocated a different room as our original room wasn’t quite ready. The room itself was small but comfortable with lots of unexpected ‘extras’: tissues, cotton buds, biscuits, and a safe. Great value, with the best prices available by booking direct with the hotel. And Free Parking.

Checkin was easy and friendly. Plenty of parking. The design of the hotel is strange. I stayed on the first floor, but had to take a lift to the first floor, then walk down a flight of stairs to my room. The room was spacious and the amenities were great: kettle, tea, coffee, biscuits hairdryer, and shampoo/bodywash dispensor. The beds were actually very comfortable, as were the pillows. The location is ok. Due to it not being located in the city center there wasn't much in the immediate area; however, there is a good pub, Grosvenor, across the street and an amazing micropub, Doctor's Orders, within a five minute walk. Great service with a good selection. The breakfast is self service, but was good. There's a selection of limited cereal, breads, yougurt, and fruit. The hot food includes, scrambled eggs, sausage, baked beans, mushrooms, hashbrowns, rashers, and grilled tomatoes, but without having to pay an additional fee, the staff are more than happy to prepare poached, fried, or boiled eggs. Would defnitely stay again in ever in the area.

Excellent hotel in a great location. Bus stop directly outside makes it simple to get to town, theatre etc. Had its own free parking, so leave the car there and forget about it....
