Ramkota Hotel

Nice breakfast staff and area. But both days Ran out of plates and hot food. Recommend to purchase more plates to stay on top of your heavy need periods and have more then one staff per day on weekends. We were there at 8ish both days. Not overly busy.

Loved this hotel!!!

We had a pool side room and it was great. Breakfast buffet was really delicious and different from most hotels which we appreciated. We walked the trails on la framboise island and that alone was a great reason to stay. Cleanliness of room could have been better but overall it was a decent stay & the midcentury modern architecture was really cool.

Struggled with getting into our room, then one of my booked rooms was given to someone else and a family member had to stay at a sister hotel. Was very chaotic.

A/C not working

We didn’t get Stay at ramkota because they were overbooked so they sent us to a lower class motel for free hopefully and that place didn’t have a pool either. The only reason why it’s two stars is because there was actually a place for us to stay again even though it’s low class.

The staff is a mixed bag. Our waiter was so kind. I wish I could remember his name. He was new but still great. The bartender on the other hand got offended when I asked if I could charge my one drink to my room since she just said that she was about to close the bar. Her response was yup coupled with a sigh and an eye roll. First time I’ve ever seen a bartender get irritated with that request. She still got her tip so I don’t understand what her deal was. However, Bert at the front desk, this was around 11:15 PM on June 12, was by far the rudest person I’ve interacted with in a while. I had two quick questions about the fish tank around the corner. There’s a giant fish in there that my family and I thought was way too big for this tiny aquarium, but we don’t know anything about fish so I wanted to ask what kind of fish it was and if that’s normal to put such a large fish of that kind into such a small tank. so when I walked up to Bert, I said hi and smiled. He did not. He gave me a very dirty look because I was interrupting him, I guess, from typing on his computer. He couldn’t even turn his body. He just turned his head slightly to look at me and to acknowledge that I was there, but didn’t say anything and when I asked him those two questions he gave me one word responses and couldn’t even bother to stop working for the 20 seconds. While I was there he typed the whole time on his computer,was incredibly unfriendly and was clearly very annoyed that I had the audacity to come up to him at the front desk and ask two quick questions. Zero customer service and he’s a mouth breather which is just offputting to look at in general. I recommend he either be retrained, constantly supervised, or fired. The man has no business working in customer service. I have never had such a negative experience with someone working the front desk of a hotel. His energy was extremely negative, irritated and passive aggressive. It was like he refused to use any more energy than he thought necessary to interact with me. And again, I can’t stress it enough how dirty of a look he gave me right when I walked up. Fire BERT!

Was just so nice and clean...had a ground floor room and short distance from exit so loved that..just overall good experience....

Great place to stay!
