Abercorn Hotel, Trademark Collection by Wyndham

Unfortunately, my stay did not meet expectations. The reception staff was not particularly welcoming, which did not create a positive first impression. I was also disappointed to discover that the airport shuttle service stops very early, making it of limited use for many travelers. The room assigned to me had a view directly overlooking garbage and waste storage areas, which was far from pleasant. What I found most concerning, however, was the hotel's extensive use of single-use plastic items. Breakfast and room was equipped only with disposable plastic cutlery, plates, cups and mugs. In a hotel hosting large numbers of guests every day, this practice generates an enormous amount of unnecessary waste. In 2026, given the growing global awareness of plastic pollution and microplastic contamination, this level of reliance on single-use plastics is simply unacceptable and does not reflect the environmental responsibility that traveler increasingly expect from hotels. Overall, I was disappointed by both the service and the hotel's lack of commitment to sustainability.

The breakfast is exceptional for breakfast included.

It's a bit tired, bathroom sink didn't drain well, taps are reversed in bathroom, and fridge was unplugged when we arrived.

It’s opposite Costco and has 2 restaurants in it that were good value. Tudor design was interesting. Airport shuttle was great

room stunk of mold, carpets were filthy, very basic and unclean hotel... desperately needs an upgrade, new carpets, coat of paint, staff were off hand, ordered the complimentary shuttle bus for 3 pm, reminded them a few times, turned up at 3:30pm! Had booked a late 3pm check out - and housekeeping kept knocking on the door from 11am, so much so that they broke the chain lock on the door!! You can find a better option for the price!

Great staff. Good breakfast. More individual than most airport hotels. Costco across rd for cheap snack. Has a kettle not just a coffee maker. I will stay here again if transiting at Van airport
