Columba Hotel Inverness by Compass Hospitality

Absolutely amazing location in Inverness. Walking out and seeing the castle across the river was breathtaking. The rooms where well appointed and comfortable, the showers had great water pressure and plenty of hot water. The bar was a great spot to have a couple beers at the end of the day.

The only very small complaint was that the food at the restaurant wasn't spectacular. A bit too salty overall. Everything else was good to go. Additionally I had two nights reserved in seperate reservations and sent a note to that effect, the front desk had not seen it.

Location and atmosphere. Bathrooms were very good

Restaurant meal was not very good. Would eat elsewhere next time. Breakfast was good.

The location was great, right on the river across from the castle and parking the car was easy just down the street 5 pounds to park overnight at the cathedral

The bed was terrible and old and my wife and I both kept waking up with different limbs asleep because of the poor mattress. The shower was quite rubbish and the faucet in the bathroom was about to fall off the sink. The room was small and dark and the door seal had a crack so you could see a lot of light coming in from the hallway. It’s was not an enjoyable stay. Luckily we had to leave early for an early flight and got in late.

Location is the best part of this run down hotel. More like a 2 star hotel way overpriced at over $200 us a night. Motel 6 level. For Americans, it says queen bed is a double but it's not - it's a double. Carpet was extremely worn - had duct tape on a seam. The beds were comfortable and it was mostly clean. Turned on the hot water and it made a horrific rattling noise but did get hot. Breakfast was standard - not anything special but sufficient. Men's room toilet didn't seem to be attached to the floor. Outside is rusting away. If I had to do over I would stay somewhere else.

Hotel needs a multi-Million pound refurb. Bathrooms are cold and mouldy, Windows are rotten and can,t be moved, It is all very tired and needs basic maintenance. outside window railings are rotten or non exsistent. Attached bar McNabs opens late and shuts early evening. Takes in coach tours so very poor quality and the hotel staff need a 100% pay rise having to defend such a poor quality offering. Very sad as it was wonderful a few years ago, as great location but go next doot to the Palace which has had substantial investment to provide excellent offering. But their bar closing early as well.
