Oban Bay Hotel

Location was exceptional, with a view to die for from the bar.

Very few parking spaces . If you had one of the back rooms, it was a hike ( up and down stairs)to get your luggage to it.

Comfortable, clean, everything worked, quiet. Great restaurant. Parking options.

Dog surcharge seemed excessive.

Check in was friendly and received good advice on parking, which was very appreciated. The location of the hotel is very good, and the lobby bar is a great place to enjoy a beverage while taking in the views.

The rooms, if they are all like what we had, are in need of some upgrades or maintenance. The mattresses are either worn out or way too soft. While there are lifts, you have to climb a few stairs to get to them, so luggage can be an issue.

Die Lage ist Premium. Erste Reihe in einer nahezu unbefahrenen Straße. Das Hotel ist sehr schön, das Restaurant bietet klassische Gerichte zu aktzeptablen Preisen. Die Bar ist toll, sehr gemütlich eingerichtet. Ein echter wohlfühlort, und wenn man einen Fensterplatz ergattert, hat man eine wundervolle Sicht auf das Meer und den Sonnenuntergang. Das Personal bedient sehr aufmerksam. Das Frühstück wird a la carte zubereitet und serviert. Man hat verschiedene Optionen zur Auswahl. Das Zimmer war ordentlich, sauber und ruhig.

It’s a beautiful location to look out onto the water. It’s good location if you’re staying during a spell of dry weather, however for us it poured of rain the full weekend so walking along to the main part in the pouring rain wasn’t ideal. Room was tidy/clean. Staff were helpful/polite/nice.

The room is absolutely tiny which was a downfall for us. Unfortunately we also never had a sea view (not sure if this is something that can be requested). It’s very noisy in your room to the fact you can hear every movement from up above you & also from the hallway - at times I thought someone was entering our room because the noise of others walking around outside your room is so loud.

We stayed for 5 nights and found the room and communal areas comfy and welcoming. We were impressed by the friendly and helpful staff. A special thanks goes out to the restaurant staff who adapted meals to accommodate my coeliac disease and made me feel very safe.

Parkmöglichkeiten sind sehr begrenzt. Haus ist sehr verwinkelt. Aufzug war zwar vorhanden , aber es mussten immer wieder vereinzelt Treppen überwunden werden. Bad war winzig und nach dem duschen war alles nass.
