Best Western Chambersburg

We had a wonderful stay! I was traveling with my kids and my disabled mom to visit a sick relative nearby. The location was perfect — close to everything we needed. Check-in was super easy and we were even allowed to check in early, which was a huge help. The front desk staff were kind and welcoming, and breakfast was great each morning. The hotel was clean, accessible, and very family-friendly. Would definitely stay again!

Parking is a bit tight

The hotel was fairly empty, so we had run of the house, it was located close to the main road, carpets in all areas seemed new, Front desk was friendly and always had change for the washer n dryer,

Breakfast was so-so, for continental I thought it was weak, same menu everyday, chip beef gravy,, egg and sausage, also waffles, coffee and juice machine, I guess comparing it too other National Brands like Marriot hotels it was not nearly as good but it was ok. Hard to say i didnt like it but i was not thrilled with it.

Very large rooms and bathroom area.

Kinda reminded me of a assisted living building with the single level and way it's designed. Not a bad thing perhaps just felt odd. It would have been nice not to walk in a cold room were the heat was completely off. I don't think I'd allow front desk staff or anyone for that matter to wear sweet pants.

Location was just off the interstate. View was of the building next door. I didn't stay here for the view. Room was clean and quiet. Water for shower was hot with good water pressure.

A tea bag would have been nice. Not a coffee drinker.

Front desk clerk changed my room for me when the AC filter was dirty andmd room smelled like dog. TV was very big.

The room was dark. There was no lighting next to the bed. The room smelled like mildew. The breakfast was wierd nothing was out a lady came from the back and asked me ifcI wanted food. No hot water for Tea. No water bottles in room.

Convenient location. The check in staff was helpful, friendly and competent.

The towels were thin and worn.

The overall ambiance of the location was not Best Western. It is true that everything appeared to be new but the colour scheme was horrid. Instead of warm brown and earth tones as you'd expect from a Best Western, there was a predominance of washed out gray and sickly colours like you'd see overseas or on some candy children get sick with. It didn't support Best Western brand recognition. The breakfast hours were an hour shorter than other locations and there was a tip jar out. Who puts a tip jar out in a place like this? Tasteless. Worst of all, the a/c didn't work. Its not that it didn't "work" it is that they were practicing set point limiting to save money. No matter what you set the a/c at it just didn't put out any cold air. I verified this with one of the housekeepers and by checking two empty rooms. I was hot and miserable the entire stay. Whoever the owners are, they are damaging the Best Western brand. If this had been the first Best Western I ever stayed at I would never go to another one. Fortunately this was just the only below standard Best Western I've ever stayed at. I understand that Best Western works on the franchise model and I need to suggest that the owners of this Best Western be brought up to speed on what image Best Western is supposed to project, because they clearly are working off of some other model.
