Sketchley Grange Hotel & Spa

The breakfast was excellent, lots of choice

There was no fridge in the room so nowhere to keep the water cold

Nice spacious room & decor. Spacious events room/bar. Pleasant outside seating area. Good standard of cleanliness. Plenty of parking.

* Several large spiders around (2 in our room & 1 in Reception) - not the hotel's fault but guess they come in from the ivy on the outside of the hotel. * The corridor was in complete darkness late at night to get to our (ground floor) room through a closed bar area with several obstacles like 'wet floor' signs left around to trip over. * The bed was very firm - fine for me but could be too hard for some. * Coffee at breakfast could be improved.

The hotel was nice, good location, room was big enough, The spa & pool area was nice. If book through booking.com you do have go pay £10 pp for the pool & spa area. Breakfast there was plenty of choice.

The matress & pillows for us, were uncomfortanle, due to mattress being very hard & pilliws hard & slightly lumpy.

Great property, lovely surroundings, good safe car park. Our room was massive and had the bonus of air conditioning. One negative was the shower door leaked, but apart from that the bathroom was a good size with lots of space for toiletries, Food very good, young staff doing a brilliant job Spa was so gooood.

Can’t think of anything other than its location is well away from any buses or trains. Ubers are good and well priced.

Great location, fab breakfast and spacious room.

Our room was above the venue where they held a wedding reception so unfortunately it was very noisy and I was unable to also until the wedding reception had ended, resulting in 4hrs sleep on night one. I'm sure the wedding party had the best time, but I do think there should be soundproofing for guests above.
