This is rated as a 4 star hotel and it doesn't live up to that rating. Even before I arrived I was disappointed. I rang to book the restaurant and was told to use the website, not a big deal but not helpful. I then received a message offering a discount on spa treatments. I filled in the form and heard nothing. After a couple of days I followed up with a phone call and they hadn't seen anything and didn't know about the offer. They did then find the details on the central system but it hadn't been passed to the spa. I was able to book a treatment at the discounted rate but on arrival found they'd booked in a different massage to the one I requested with no one available to provide the requested massage my wife was left with the option of accepting it or cancelling. We had a dinner bed and breakfast booking and I asked at reception how it worked. I was told we £25 credit each to order from the menu. On arrival at the restaurant we were given a limited menu and told we could order 2 courses. The food was nice but it just seems disorganised. The restaurant has a huge TV which was on silent not something I expected. The seating is booth style with bench seating. This means half the customers are facing the TV and half can't see it if they want to. We asked for a jug of water and were provided with 2 pint glasses, not very 4 star. The cooked breakfast was a buffet and the hot food had all been on the hot plate for too long, the fried eggs were rubbery and inedible. The room was large but the bed was a standard double not a king size. There was a sofa in the room but no coffee table to use while sitting on the sofa. There was a rack for hanging clothes but nowhere to store anything that wouldn't go on a hanger.

Walls very thin. Felt like the guy next door was in my room snoring and talking

Facilities and breakfast. Also a good location to onwards.

Sadly the bedroom carpet had not been vacuumed before my arrival. I would not normally complain but it wasn’t very nice.

Breakfast good quality.

None of main lights worked. Room was cold and radiator did not work.
