Best Western Clifton Park

The breakfast was pretty good, although the choice of cereals was limited, and there was no sliced fruit available, only apples and bananas. The breakfast room was very clean and kept well supplied with food during breakfast.

The tub/shower was really awful. It was a fiberglass spa tub, but the bottom was not well supported and it sagged away from the drain so that the water did not drain when taking a shower - i.e., you were standing in a pool of shower water. I had to swipe the water with my feet to move it to the drain. Otherwise it would just be a puddle that evaporated into the room after I got out. The toilet was a residential toilet, rather than commercial, so it often had to be flushed twice to empty. The AC was older, noisy, and did not have a modern digital thermostat where you could set the actual room temperature like most modern hotels. It was the old kind where you just have a rotating dial and you have to estimate by trial and error. Overall, the hotel just felt very outdated.

For the price they charged because of the event, (clearly jacked up the price because of the concert and room availability in the area) the place was grossly underwhelming. The facility is old, carpets are dirty and the rooms were not the cleanest. The toilet seat was stained as was the ceiling in the bathroom. Everything was old. However, the staff was very friendly. Checking in and out was easy.

We were staying with a group of budget conscious seniors otherwise I would have not even checked in. 1st room was non smoking but we were hit with the stench as soon as we entered. Our second room seemed sad but ok. We turned on the AC to cool down. Shortly after we realized there was a musty mold odor. The carpet was damp, do NOT walk with bare feet. Every morning I woke up with horrible headaches which went away once I left and got into the fresh air. We had no closet door and the wallpaper was peeling. It was like they just stopped caring a few years ago. Pool itself was nice, area around it needs serious maintenance. Broken tiles, switches and controls missing from the walls. Maintenance materials and tools left all over the place. No towels in the pool area. They did not make up our room or replace towels. Breakfast was minimal but did the trick. Breakfast lady was nice.

I arrived and had a great interaction with the registration desk but it seemed to become a disappointment once I saw the room (extremely worn out - peeling paint and wallcovering, lumpy and odd-feeling carpet, sliding door that weighed a TON), slept in the bed (it made a horrible creaking noise and was hard as a sheet of plywood) and took a dip in the pool (was told that the hot tub was actually a kiddie pool! Jets didn't work and the water was ice cold). Overall, this seemed like the type of hotel that traveling work crews stay at - not suited for an older woman traveling alone. Even the toilet was a problem - I have knee issues and the toilet was very low and hard to get up from - should have used a handicap toilet in all the rooms, not just the ADA compliant ones. Oh and even though it was a non-smoking hotel, I was overwhelmed by the smell of cigarette smoke in the hallway outside my room.

Great hotel for the price, easy to get to, and clean!

Refusing to give clean towels or make a bed is just without a doubt shocking, lame and lazy!!! The manager should be fired. Being a Best Western Platinum Member has NO PERKS what so ever.

The price point is outrageous for the poor quality of this property. I urge the GM or upper mgmt to walk barefoot on the carpet in room 130. GROSS. I honestly am at a loss for words on the cleanliness of the hotel. Just walking in the front door, which should be an indication of the property, was horrible. Weeds everywhere, the entrance doors were so filthy that you have to be blind not to notice. I can never recommend this property to anyone

Been here a lot to visit Saratoga, but this was worst of last 4-5 trips. Room smelled of cigarette smoke, dirty bathroom, wet carpet floors, etc.
