Best Western Airport Inn

The front desk person at check in was very welcoming and gave detailed info about how to get to our room. The hotel is clearly due for some updates but our room was clean and comfortable. We were at the end of the hall on the second floor so there wasn’t much foot traffic and we felt very removed from everyone else.

The pool looked like it had crumbs all in the bottom and I didn’t wanna find out … the door looked like a strange closet dripping with the like orange and gold rush and mildew or something… I thought it would be decent like high traffic by the air port but that just didn’t feel the most clean.

It’s an airport hotel and the price was reasonable so location and price were fair. I had to call twice to get an answer regarding transportation from the airport. The air conditioning was noisy, the decor needed updating. I had to make a $50 deposit when I checked in even though my stay was entirely prepaid through Expedia. I also had to remind them to return my deposit upon checkout.

Room was extremely hot. AC was not turned on to cool down the room. Waffle was sour. Water was left in the bathtub

I wanted to start off by saying you get what you pay for, but that wouldn’t be accurate in my case. I booked a King room at a discounted rate through Expedia and once I arrived at the property (at 4:00pm), I was told they were sold out of King rooms. I just stared at the front desk clerk because there was only one other car in the parking lot. He must have sensed from my expression that I was not pleased so he tried to tell me he would upgrade me to a double queen room. I guess he thought I was stupid because the double queen room has a nightly rate of about $20 less than what I was paying. I wasn’t going to argue and we were only staying for one night. I assume he thought he could sell that King room at the full rate and make a little extra off me by charging me more than the room he put me in was worth. That was strike one. The indoor heated pool was cold. There were no towels. Strike two. But what actually pushed me over the edge is that the cover on the air conditioning unit FELL OFF THE WALL at 3:00 am. Scaring both my husband and I awake. When I mentioned this to the front desk the next morning there was no “sorry for the inconvenience” just “no problem we’ll put it back” which tells me that isn’t the first time it’s happened. There are many other hotels in the area. I relied on the primarily positive reviews when deciding to book. I hope that others won’t make the same mistake I did.

The gentlemen at the front desk was very accommodating to our concerns and resolved the issues promptly.

Somewhat shabby. No elevator, so we had to carry bags to the second floor. The walls were scuffed everywhere. The entrance smelled musty. We had our bikes, so this location was convenient to get on the bike path. I would recommend the Lemongrass restaurant downtown.

Overall I would give this property a 5/10. The room smelled like paint. No working elevator. The rooms were half updated. Construction material left all over parking lot area. Dirty food particals were on the sofa in the room. And stain on comforter. Shower curtain wouldn’t stay closed.
