Baxter Park Inn

We did not eat breakfast.

Located in the town Of Millinocket, we were greeted by a lovely receptionist and given our room keys then told about where to park, breakfast location and times and about the heated pool, which we did not use. We like cats so were charmed by the adoption of a few strays. They were kept in the lobby area and not a bother at all. Breakfast was a choice of cereals, package oatmeal, english muffins, coffee, tea, hot chocolate o.j. and yogurt. There were also package pastries. Beds were comfy, rooms were clean. Shampoo and soap provided and A/C in room. Games in the breakfast room were thoughtful. Nice if it were a rainy stay.

No complaints. Not a fancy place but adequate and pleasant staff. Some may not like the older decor, cats on property or breakfast choices but one gets what one pays for and for a place to stay for a night or two when in the area, we thought is was perfect!

When you come to Millinocket in early May, not everything is open, so we were very glad to have a place to stay that was so convenient. Location was definitely a plus. Another very nice aspect was that there was a very clean and available guest laundry, which I needed. $2 per machine load is not horrible. Our room was clean and well appointed for a standard double queen room. The beds were quite comfortable, some of the best on our trip. The staff were nice, and the cats were adorable. They gave us a good list of places that were around the area for food and activities - not all were open yet, but still helpful.

Primarily, the biggest drawback was the breakfast. There was little to no protein. I saw peanut butter. That's it. Otherwise all carbs. For a diabetic, that's inedible. We ended up going out for breakfast instead, which makes the price less of a value. Also, the parking lot was a series of pot holes - understandable because of the weather, but very rough on the cars.

Staff very friendly and informative about the area. Unfortunately for us we were 3 weeks early for Baxter State Park to be open( Park website clearly stated open at 8am but not so clear on date). Staff and Owner found us a road where Moose had been seen in the last week( that was the reason for going to Baxter State Park to start with). There map gave us some great views and we did so some Moose. Thank you to Baxter Park Inn for giving the extra effort. Great place to stay and doing the extra work putting us on Moose . Will stay there again on our next trip

Two friends and I have stayed here several times, and have always been welcomed by the owner, the desk clerks, and even their cats! Comfortable rooms, warm indoor pool, a breakfast room, and many games for rainy day entertainment. There's also a two bedroom suite with a spacious kitchenette and living room. I know you'll enjoy your stay!

We do retreats here several times a year . We have such a great time scrapbooking there!

I enjoyed my stay at the Baxter Park Inn. Comfortable accommodations. Very clean. Welcoming reception. Nice and quiet. Definitely recommend

This facility was very clean, the staff were easy to meet and talk with. I would not hesitate to stay at this hotel again.
