Hearthstone Inn Boutique Hotel Halifax - Dartmouth

The old history pictures in the building were interesting to see what the area used to look like was very interesting to me. The lovely neighbourhood. It was unfortunate we had to switch rooms and that was a little frustrating to pack up switch rooms and unpack again... we had 2 nights stay. It was booked separately so they said they could not switch us because a larger group needed the larger room we had. I guess it was a busy time of year. We had a suit the 1st night and we didn't need a big suit for 2 people. Just wish they could have solved this issue for us to accommodate. When you are out all day exploring your beautiful province and coming home exhausted from a long day, late night to deal with checking, which was not a pleasant check it. It was frustrating.

Price was good! Close to the highway and not to far from Halifax downtown!

Bien situé. Très bruillant à l'intérieur de l'hôtel durant la nuit. Le petit déjeuner n'est plus inclus. Stationnement pas évident. Lit très mou. Pas de télévision intelligente. Personnel très gentil et professionnel.

Air conditioning coulnt be adjusted in room. Were given another room instead. Thanks for making the change.

I was under the impression that I was getting access to breakfast. But they only do breakfast Fri-Sun. Also I asked where the ice machine was. 2nd floor couldn’t find it. Had to go back to desk. Associate laughed said it’s there just hidden behind a wall. There should be some signage. Coffee was horrible in the room and the bar only had wine from a box.

The good - nice interior, friendly and helpful front desk staff. The bad - they didn’t come by the room once in 3 days. No total changes, no toilet paper, tub was in rough shape. The really bad - in the middle of housing projects by a highway on ramp. Should have looked up the neighborhood first.

Stay on Sept 7th

This hotel is not as pictured and needs serious room updates to be a 3 star. The water pressure is non existent, the surfaces were sticky and there were items in the drawers from previous guests. The water pictures are quite far away and across a highway like road. It is also a very sketchy area.

Room was clean beds are comfortable older hotel in a bad area. Prices were good.
