"Average"

The hotel was ok as I was stopping over for a flight the next day but it was quite tired and the bar/restaurant staff weren’t the best. When ordering food the lady working cane over to me half hour later to re-confirm my order as they’d clearly forgot despite there being nobody else in the bar

"Bedroom in poor state but the rest was nice "

Good for nearness to airport however for the price i would expect a better standard of room Paint falling from walls and windowsill looks like it might still be (barely) covered in lead paint from WW2. Cleaners have done an excellent job despite the state of the walls. Swimming pool and health spa were lovely though again a bit tired with mens changing area accessed by walking through carpetted gym.

Room was ok, a bit shabby and bath had a few hairs in it! We were right above the entrance and it was so noisy, people leaving for airport I guess every half an hour or so and talking at top if their voices....Also had 2 men at 1am outside our room having a loud conversation...had to tell them to be quiet!

"Not great"

When I first arrived at The Hallmark I thought it looked nice. The receptionist was very friendly but when I got into my room there was a pubic hair and urine stains when I lifted the toilet seat. This prompted me to check the bed and there were also pubic hairs in the linen and head hairs and fluff on the pillows. This was obviously very disappointing. The receptionist promptly moved me rooms and apologised. I also used the pool facilities, the changing rooms were disgusting. The floor was filthy and there were used towels thrown all over the place. The hand held part of the showers were all laying flat on the ground where they didn't fit the hanging facility properly, there is nowhere to hang your towels when in the cubicle so I had to fling my towel over the top of the shower curtain which was dusty. The sauna also wasn't working. I had dinner in the restaurant, the calamari was over priced for what it was, however the halloumi skewers were absolutely delicious. The next day reception ordered a taxi, specifically requesting one that took card. Three taxis arrived, all of which told me there weren't for me. One driver came inside, spoke to reception and said the cab was infact for me. I then discovered that the taxi didn't have a card machine so we had to stop on route. He headed to the wrong address and tried to charge me £6 more than the fare was meant to be. This all caused me to be late for a work meeting. Overall, unfortunately I wouldn't stay in this hotel again.

"Manchester Airport Hotel overrated"

This hotel is rundown. Staff wasn’t particularly pleasant and there was no lift to our room. (Normally wouldn’t care, but carrying 10 days worth of holiday travel bags up 3 floors was tiring) Taxi also cost $18 from airport to this hotel. It’s less than 3 km away. Not worth the money. Would never stay here again.

The reception staff were not the most helpful! Restaurant food was nice and staff there and in the bar were very really pleasant. Would choose again if needed to be near carpark as location was good.

"Well Presented and Staffed, However Rooms Sub-par"

Service was good and the hotel is well presented, however the shower was very intermittent; from no water at all, to sudden urges of cold. There was so there was an annoying light in the bathroom which I couldn't seem to turn off which meant I had to cover with towels to get to sleep! The windows are pretty thin too meaning you can hear every car and plane in a 3 mile radius (not great when you're next to an airport!!)

"Terrible Service"

When i got there 2 cars had been broken into & just left with glass on floor. Checked in Perfect. Lady behind desk was only one at hotel who seemed to know how to do her job. i put a card on my room as i knew i was going to eat drink. When i placed orders bar staff refused as cash value was more than the £50.00 taken on my card. Back to the front desk lady who again sorted it out & advised waiters how to do their job properly. Food was a shambles. Desert came out before main food & waiter got snotty when we refused it as we wanted to eat main meal first. I booked hotel rooms through Hotels.com as it was cheaper & when i got my bill they charged me for 1 room. Why? Everything's has been paid for in advance. After 3 days of emails NOT 1 person has got back to me with any answers. Worse service I've received at any hotel during my stays.
