Spark by Hilton West Coxsackie

The first thing that you have to understand is that you are not at a fancy Hilton. Everything about this hotel is bare bones, the beds are good, the hotel is super clean, and you get a free breakfast. It's seconds off the T-way and 15 mins south of Albany and super safe. But don't overpay, if the price is high, drive to Albany and stay at a fancy Hilton and not in a monk's room. We have stayed here twice, both times at a discount price from the expensive Albany Hiltons. It's a wonderful place to get a night's sleep.

The staff here is exemplary. Although this hotel is 25 minute drive, the drive was pleasant with great restaurants nearby. The breakfast had no hot options.

The shower valve needs to be repaired, the water is literally scalding or freezing. The breakfast was good and the staff very helpful and nice.

Was very nice hotel very clean but the pool didn't work becythey just renovated but all in all good place to stay.

Pool wasn’t up. No hot water. Shower drain didn’t drain

1. This place only became a Hilton a couple weeks ago and it shows. Pool- closed and a complete mess. There was NO fitness room or business center at all. Staff seemed…uninformed and generally uninterested. 2. We had a pet and in our booking it said pet fee was $30 per day. They charged us $75 per day! (To be fair, they said this was a mistake it was supposed to be $75 for the first 4 days and are refunded half of this charge but it is still not what was listed in our information) This hotel definitely does not live up to Hilton standards at present moment. Let’s hope they continue to improve. It seems there’s nowhere to go but up.

At Check-in, front desk attempted to collect for a prepaid room. The hallways had trash on the floor. Somebody had propped open the side door with a piece of concrete. When I tried to secure the door, I found it was broken and wouldn’t close all the way. When I came back later, someone had propped it open again. The stairs leading up from the side door we’re filthy. The linen room had linens and trash on the floor. The toilet in our room was broken and had a hard time refilling. All in all, a very unpleasant experience. Hilton should be embarrassed to have its name on this property.

The difference from last year to this year was HUGE. The cleanliness was not there, pool was under renovation, the elevator didn’t work! Breakfast last year was awesome this year not even close.
