I proprietari, Antonio e Carmencita pongono molta cura negli ospiti e si sono rivelati una fonte di storia e cultura locale. Lo consiglio agli amanti del relax vero e di un modo di concepire la vacanza come scoperta. Nota a margine: cena davvero ottima!

You need a car for this location as it is out on the country and there are no shops or restaurants within walking distance. Beautiful 17th Century building. Tastefully decorated with many antiques and interesting things to look at. The owners were so lovely and the meal served was gourmet and very delicious! Easy to park our car. The view from the window was overlooking lush forest.

There are a number of running repairs that need doing. Toilet seat kept falling off. Some handles not working. The bed was quite hard. No air conditioning but a big fan which was adequate.

Super friendly and understanding staff. The room was well sized and comfortable.

On a last-minute weekend away from Caserta, we chose to visit the Molise Region. We traveled with friends and stayed at Antica Taverna Del Principe. Absolutely lovely. Beautifully restored. We stayed in a large room with a walk-in closet, a good-sized bathroom, and a wonderful clawfoot tub. Each room is different, uniquely decorated, and appointed. When we arrived around 1900, Antonio, welcomed us to his house, got us settled, and made a dinner reservation for us at a nearby restaurant (Scuderie Del Peschio) where we enjoyed a fabulous dinner. Each morning, Antonio made coffee to order with our breakfast which we could take in the dining room or outside. Saturday night, we enjoyed a light charcuterie dinner at the Taverna with local meats, cheeses, and wind. The setting is lovely. The hosts friendly and accommodating. Our friends enjoyed the cats who stood guard outside the front door and my husband made friends with the dog who joined us whenever we sat outside to enjoy the breeze. A perfect weekend away. Thank you!

Fabulous place. If it were in Tuscany, it would be three or four times more expensive! We stayed in the beautiful huge princess suite with a huge bathroom. Lovely generous breakfast and welcoming host who was very gracious with our efforts at Italian. Everyone visiting this lovely area should jump at the chance to stay here.
