"A special place between Scanno and points east"

A renovated stone farmhouse. Communal Dining area on first level. Our apartment was large. Shower was roomy. Free standing deep iron bathtub. Comfortable bed. Short drive to Sepino and Campobasso restaurants Owners were very helpful.

Loved Antica Taverna. Sepino had little to offer compared with other villages between Rome/Naples and the east coast

"Worth a detour"

Antica Taverna del Principe is a labor of love. The building is a historic tavern on the Napoli-Rome road, painstakingly renovated as far as possible and updated with for example vintage light switches, shower heads, faucets... It has a soul and breathes history. Breakfast was among the best Italian breakfasts I have had - with fresh croissants. Possibility for dinner as well.

Apart from Saepinum and the slower road between the Appenines, touristic attractions are somewhat sparse in the area. There's a tradeoff between design and comfort.
