Best Western Woodland Inn

Spacious and well supplied breakfast room with lots of choices of food. Well run property.

I was very disappointed, booked a month in advance for 4 nights and a handicap room. Emailed to confirm a handicap room. When checking in was told no handicap room available. Middle of the 1st night, woke to laughter and talking from STAFF, happened again at 6:55 am! Requested a different room, 2nd night, young kids running the hallway, pounding on and slamming doors, yelling for 'momma let me in', called from desk, but kids didn't stop till after 11:30! Booked Best Western Woodland specifically for exercise area for my grandson, so he wouldn't miss his regular routine. FOUND NO EXERCISE AREA AVAILABLE! Like: breakfast was very good, dining area and reception area very clean and inviting.

Sorry, first impressions are what stick with me, and what come to mind when asked a question! And mine were not good. Bed was comfortable, although bedding itself was very thin. Gave the impression that bedding was old. Inside of rooms could use a lot of TLC! Furniture arms extremely dirty, carpeting in need of a good cleaning!

We were given a pet friendly room when we did not request that. We were asked if we had pet 3 times and each time we said no. It smelled like a pet and musty which was not pleasant. The mattress on the pull out couch was an old ripped mattress that should be replaced. Mattress was overused and springs were damaged. The desk chair was ripped on the seat.

While the Woodland Inn had some positive aspects (conveniently located, comfortable beds, breakfast until 10 on the weekend), we were very disappointed with the service during our stay. When we shared our concerns, staff members were dismissive and the manager did not acknowledge us. Our television did not work on our first night, and it took two staff members to figure out how to make it work (by fidgeting with the plugs) the next morning. On the second evening, two separate staff members came up to our room to mess with the cables again. They explained that the tv issue was a common problem, that new television sets were to be purchased, and that it should be easy for us to unplug and re-plug the cables if it happened again (as if this was a reasonable thing to have to do). About an hour after they left, the tv stopped working again. On day 3, my husband plugged and unplugged the tv several times to get it to work. When I addressed my concerns again (it was our last night) and requested some sort of compensation for the inconvenience (such as a small discount), the manager asked us to move to another room if we were unhappy. She did not come out of her office to address us directly, but rather, she did so through a rather flippant staff member at the front counter. A simple apology from the manager or some sort of acknowledgement of how ridiculous the situation was, well that would have gone a long way. The overall experience at the Woodland Inn was very disappointing.

Breakfast good.

Booked roon for disabled. Called motel directly 2 weeks prior to confirm. Was told it was all in order. Upon registration it was not so. Didn't have the room to accommodate needs. Staff on duty did what they could, but very disapointed.

The hotel is rundown and dirty. The common areas were especially dirty - chicken on the floor in the hallway - all floors needed serious cleaning. All the vents were covered in dirt and dust and everything felt icky. The breakfast was not great either.

The staff was all friendly and kind.

The bathroom fan in 218 didn't work, so every time someone took a shower and didn't close the bathroom door fast enough, the fire alarm would go off.
