Hôtel Le Cervolan

Second time in this hotel and it is still excelent. The rooms are clean and good size. The restaurant is excellent and very cosy with its open wood fire. Only downside in the room I staid in this time, the bath was a quarter bath, could barely sit in it and I am small and the shower above the bath had to be handheld, I could not stand in the bath and have a shower as my head was touching the ceiling and there was no shower curtains.

Driving from C Italy to England, Chambery made an ideal target for an overnight stay. Walking in "off the street", we were given a professional welcome and a comfortable room. Our choice to eat in the hotel, after a drive-by of local restaurants on the lake etc was amply justified. Next time I shall book!

When we arrived, we were not very happy with how the hotel looked from the outside. A little bit plain and shabby. Our first impression changed for the better once we came inside. Pleasant and helpfull staff, very spacious room, with even some kind of mini-kitchen. The room was pleasantly cool and well taken care off. Comfortable bed. Most surprising was the restaurant. Looked nice and the food was great. We had not expected a kitchen like that in this place. Tips: Terrace could look a bit more cosy. The front deal should be occupied at all times. The girl who helped us when we arrived was all alone at the moment and had to be at several places at the same time.

Great family room with kids upstairs in mezzanine and a double bed downstairs with kitchenette and bathroom. Pool and hot tub looked nice but not open til may (despite dipping hand in hot tub and toasty warm). Breakfast too expensive at 52 euros (20 adult 6.5 child) so went to nearby McDonald's!

Crew said it was so-so, but lack of options in area necessitated booking.

It was booked by the host, so can't comment on the room rate. What was at the desk seems rather pricy, but I don't know if those are the prices most people pay. Reception was friendly. Most of the staff speaks English. Kitchen is excellent and prices seem reasonable to me. Breakfast was generous. Room good. Internet in the room was so/so, but I managed. I would have no problem being booked in there again. And if the business relations develop, I probably will!

Hotel very close and handy for Chambery airport. Hotel room was nice and spacious with good facilities including tea and coffee making. Worth checking with the hotel in advance whether the restaurant is open, as when I arrived on a Sunday evening it was closed.

Okay for one night stop over. Small rooms. Clean. Comfy beds.

We were travelling from Italy across France and the location of this hotel was ideal. The staff were young and very helpful and the restaurant was excellent. Rooms were simple and basic but large and comfortable.
