Everyone at Pompano is so friendly and helpful!

We went to Pompano to celebrate a milestone anniversary on our first trip to Bermuda. It was magical. The beach is large enough to have several small coves where you can be alone. The hotel was fully booked but we never had to fight for a chair. I have never seen a beach like this anywhere in the world. The sand bar in front of the hotel is absolutely massive and pristine. It is a great place to learn or practice water sports. The hotel is spotless. Yes it is dated in some ways, but whether that's a problem depends on what you want in a vacation. Not every hotel is right for every person. Pompano Beach reminds me very much of the quaint, traditional estate hotels found in England and Ireland. It could be a long-lost sibling of the Bayview in Ballycotton. The grounds are gorgeous, the location sits adjacent to a PGA golf course. The hotel shuttles make it so easy to get anywhere you want to go, and provide conversation with staff. We came during summer so the demographic skewed very young. Many families with kids, particularly multi-generational groups. We met a bunch of honeymooners, and a handful of bridal party or groups in their 20s. By far the least-represented group was elderly and those who were older were active. Lots of golfers. As a vegetarian, finding food can be tough but Pompano is the most vegetarian-friendly resort I have been to anywhere in the world. The food is spectacular, fresh, beautifully prepared, and creative. The staff and owners are friendly, professional, and attentive (looking at you, CC and Mikayla). There are a few maintenance issues, but the resort is right on the ocean and salt water is corrosive so it will always be shoveling against the tide. As far as the infamous birds, yes they are around. Yes they are annoying, but it's an indoor-outdoor space on a wooded area. Birds happen. I personally watched the droppings immediately cleaned. Being from NYC it didn't bother me because our pigeons are armed and dangerous, if it bothers you then pick another hotel. The only thing I would say needs attention is the hot tubs on the cliff. They need to be resurfaced. I hate hot tubs so I don't care. This was one of the best vacations of our lives and we're planning a return.

Want a place to visit that is not only beautiful, has an intimate private beach, fantastic food, many amenities and is very well maintained? Then look no more, as I can attest that Pompano Beach Club in Bermuda will check off all your boxes and then some. My family and I had a magical time!

The whole week was amazing - the beach at Pompano is AMAZING - you can wade out a long way on the sandbar beach area. We got the food package, and the food was fantastic - much better than most all-inclusive resorts. The family-owned atmosphere was great with the entire wait staff treating our family of 13 as one of their own. We ar looking forward to staying there again someday as the island is so beautiful!

Best resort on Bermuda, hands down, and I've seen them all! What a beach, fabulous food, awesome views AND THE BEST AND FRIENDLIEST SERVICE ONE COULD POSSIBLY FIND! Yes, every place says they're your "family", but Pompano truly delivers. We'll never stay any where else on Bermuda. Best vacation EVER!

We had a lovely time at Pompano & will be back! Food was delicious with varying choices, access to drinks & snacks great too. The beach was beautiful & well maintained with plenty of chairs & umbrellas at various points to relax and enjoy. All staff members were pleasant and helpful and eager to please.

It's easy to see why the Pompano has so many loyal return visitors—I spoke to one family who has been coming back for 30 years! From the moment you arrive, you feel genuinely welcomed, like they’re truly happy to see you. It’s a refreshing contrast to the more impersonal feel of modern travel. While there may be more modern accommodations on the island, if you’re looking for a traditional Bermudian experience where you’re treated like family, the Pompano is the place to be. The service is outstanding, the staff is exceptional, and the views are simply breathtaking. With its laid-back, family-friendly vibe, it’s the perfect place to unwind, reconnect, and soak in the beauty of Bermuda. We’re already looking forward to our next visit. From start to finish, every staff member made us feel like old friends. The owners, Tom and Larry, are involved in every aspect of the day-to-day experience and treat guests with genuine care and warmth. Special shoutouts to George, Greg, and Shirley, who greeted us at every meal with a smile and thoughtful conversation, and to McKayla, whose energy and enthusiasm lit up the room—even at the end of a long shift! If we had one small critique, it’s that a few areas could benefit from some renovation—but this in no way took away from our incredible stay. The rooms were clean, the beds comfortable, and the location unbeatable. Thank you, Tom, Larry, and the entire Pompano family, for your hospitality! 🫶🏻🌺

We stayed at Pompano Beach Club for 5 nights in late July 2025; we had previously stayed there twice long ago, and we were excited to return. We are already planning next year's trip! Our room, a deluxe king oceanfront, was well-appointed and convenient to everything we needed. The decor was lovely and understated (no florals in sight, for whoever said there were dated florals everywhere!), a spacious bathroom with soaking tub, separate shower, and twin sinks, and a nice patio that overlooked the ocean. We enjoyed both the pool, which was extremely clean and well-maintained, and the beach. No need to reserver your beach chair--there are plenty at all times! Lots of oversized beach towels, too. Want a drink? Get one at the pool bar or the beach bar. Lunch? Right next to the pool, indoor, outdoor, or served to your lounge chair. The staff could not be more friendly and helpful! We particularly enjoyed George, Ilene, and Velma. Dinner was at either the Ocean Grill (a bit more upscale) or the Cedar Room, which is the site of the Monday barbeque. We enjoyed all of our food; the salmon, steaks, and soups were expertly prepared (don't miss the Bermuda fish chowder with rum and sherry peppers!). My only problem was the the 5 course meal was way too much food for me! Breakfast in the Cedar Room varied between a buffet and ordering from the menu; both were excellent. At night, there is entertainment that varies, e.g. DJ, steel drums, pianist. You can sit outside on the lovely veranda and enjoy the warm air. If you would like to leave the property, they have shuttles to the bus stop, the nearby golf course, and all around the property. You can go on deep sea fishing trips, go shopping in Hamilton or Dockside, or partake in any number of other adventures. We both had massages at the spa, and they were excellent--highly recommend Marisol. The owners are always around, and they clearly pitch in on a whole variety of tasks around the resort. The Monday swizzle party and barbeque are a fun time to socialize and chat with the owners and other guests. Each time we have been to Pompano, we have stayed in one of the deluxe king rooms overlooking the ocean, and they have all been wonderful. I highly recommend this property. If you happen to have a mobility issue, this is probably not the property for you, because there are stairs up and down to the beach, and the resort generally is on a hill. If you have children who are used to a lot of children's programs, this also may not be your best choice. Lastly, if you want a bright shiny new resort with every bell and whistle (think Atlantis in the Bahamas), this may not be for you. If you don't want to be near any wildlife (e.g., birds and fish), you might want to go elsewhere--this is a beach resort, and there is wildlife, which we enjoyed! If you are looking for a completely relaxing vacation with wonderful food, service, beach and pool, then I would make your reservation today.

The only reason to come to this resort is for the gorgeous beach -PLEASE TAKE CARE OF THE BEACH. SEAWEED is a big problem this year--have been here several times and nothing like this . They have workers out once a day ,8:30 or so, to clean the beach.It is done incompletely (would try to rake some of the seaweed from the ocean before using the equipment).. The seaweed that is left there is never raked again nor touched at all for the day and simply builds in the water and on the beach . The beach is still prestine after the first 25 or so feet walking out ,but can make it difficult to enter or exit the water as you are wading through seaweed and sometimes other debris . On a few occasions there were cartons and other large debris that myself and other guests took out, as it was clear it would be not done otherwise (and in fact can be very unsafe) . In years past the worker at the beach bar might assist, if needed, with seaweed but this time nothing.Last year in particular, the woman working the beach bar was a dynamo . Also it does not make sense to have large mounds of seaweed left at the side of the beach; take it up the hill for compost or find a better solution. My other suggestions when the seaweed is bad like this--use the equipment at least twice a day (clear the beach if you need to for a half hour--just post the times of the cleaning) and have a dedicated person to take care of the beach otherwise(not the beach bartender). Also would suggest daily sign/ chalkboard with low tide/high tide to make it clear when it safe to go out to the far raft. As far the rooms -in serious need of an update. The room we stayed athad a cracked flithy toilet seat.The whole bathroom needs to be updated. Our TV had issues as well .As far as the MAP--for dinner the food is quite good but breakfast is subpar in my opinion. The fruit at breakfast isnt good and the food -either at the buffet or table service is merely passable. More healthy options would be appreciated as well . The Lambs are certainly nice people but can not let things continue to slip. Been here multiple times over the years but may rethink things.

We returned last week from our fourth visit to Pompano. We travel with our three adult children, and we all had a great time. We went to the beach, played pickle ball, took walks, and fished from the dock (my daughter caught a small grouper). The views are just unbelievable from everywhere in the resort. The beach is really lovely, can snorkel in shallow water and at low tide can walk out on the sand bar for several hundred yards. The food was excellent and recommend the MAP plan. Most of all, the people are just really, really nice. We feel like we are coming to visit family or friends. The owners, Tom and Larry Lamb are always tooling around and interacting with the guests. CC greets you when you arrive and seamlessly places the bags in your room. Not enough room to mention all of the staff in the restaurants but Greg, Ilene, Russell, Mike, George, Shirley, Lynn and Lorna are just great. Stacy from reservations is a pleasure to deal with and I am still leaving out many people. If you want a very relaxing time with beautiful ocean views, excellent food and wonderful staff, I recommend Pompano.
