Holiday Inn Express & Suites Houston - Memorial Park Area by IHG

The rooms were spacious, and the beds were very comfortable. The breakfast was one of the best free breakfasts I have enjoyed at a hotel.

The hotel was okay. I’ve stayed at many Holiday Inns before and always had a good experience. The rooms are always clean, staff was nice, and the hotel breakfast was really good (especially at this location). There were a couple of small issues, the main one being the WiFi. The hotel didn’t offer instructions on how to connect. My partner was able to figure it out, but the signal was really weak and many websites weren’t working. My partner and I were in Houston for a music festival, so we didn’t spend much time in the room. But if you’re booking this hotel for business and need internet in your room, I wouldn’t recommend this one. The shower curtain was also really small and water pooled on the floor after our showers. I had to mop up the floor with a towel, otherwise the room would have been a slipping hazard. If I come to Houston again, not sure if I would book this hotel or maybe I’ll stay at another Holiday Inn location.

Overall very good hotel; clean, comfortable, nice staff. Only recommendation is they need to improve their fitness center. It has old equipment, with one of the pieces broken. No weights at all.

Not too bad. Free breakfast was good and pool was ok. I would even say it’s a tad expensive for what you get but all and all it was ok.

Where to begin? Pool was closed ("it just happened"--a worker told me it had been closed for nearly a month). Dirty room. No cleaning service--we were out from 10;15 to 4:00. Two of three breakfast juices were empty. TV remote didn't work well ("they're all like that"). Bathroom was filthy. Dirty floor. Caulk stripping off of walls; pieces of popcorn ceiling falling on us in tub. Room smelled bad. How do you get away with advertising this hotel as clean and charging over $150 a night? p.s. As I was working this, the cleaners showed up. Who shows up to clean a room at 4:30?

The front desk person was excellent, the room is okay, the bathroom faucet was drippings and couldn’t close completely. The ac didn’t cool the room completely, it was sweating midnight even though we set it lowest temp

Had to check out early, and was was told I would not be charged for the second night. Although I advised the them the first day we arrived. However the next morning I checked out I was told I would be charged since i did not book the reservation with them.
