Aladdin Camp

Beautiful location, amazing staff and dinner is great! Super talented chef, I think the dinner at Aladdin is easily the best food we had in our 10 day trip to Jordan! The Owner is so friendly, he remembers your name and will make an effort to come and have a chat and see how you are doing. On our first night we went star gazing so missed the 'party' back at the camp after dinner. When we returned I heard someone call my name, I look back and it was the owner asking if we were ok as he noticed we weren't at the party. Little things like that made the stay enjoyable. However, if you are visiting in the summer and have booked a bubble room then be warned, although the room has Air Conditioning (which works perfectly at night when it's cooler), during the day the room becomes an oven (possibly due to the materials used in the build) and it is unbearable even with the Air Con on as it just ends up blowing heated air. Our friends stayed at Aicha camp where they said the rooms are covered during the day to prevent them from overheating and the build of the tents is more like a building to it keeps the coolness of the AC in the room and retracts the outside heat. Other than the AC issue we tenjoyed our stay and I would probably book Aladdin again if we were to go on cooler months. Big thanks to the chef again for the amazing food!

This property was in an AMAZING location - not around other camps so very quiet and private.

Everyone at Aladdin was incredibly helpful and friendly, especially Muhammad who even upgraded us for free! They work with some of the best people in Wadi Rum and you will be well looked after. They went above and beyond for our family and made our stay a special one.

Incredible experience—highly recommend. Tent was spacious and comfortable and dinner was delicious. We took a 2 hour Jeep ride through the desert and watched the sunset. This camp is isolated from the other camps in the area and backs right up against the mountains. Highly recommend.

Facilities are acceptable as this is in wildness, no wifi or phone signal. Food is good though, lamb and chicken grilled in tradional way(buried). Very disappointed at communication and service. 1. You can not drive your own car to the camp. Two cars of my group get stucked at sand. We were not informed ahead of time of this situation that we should park the car far away and call for pick up 2. Communication and service is not efficient. My wife loat her hat at picking up truck, it is until next morning when we departure the hotel to the outside parking area, we got it. It could be very easy to get the hat back, since we teported it 3pm at check in. Anyway, lucky that we got it back. 3. Check out is not professional, we alsmost get charged twice, one by cash without any receipt of the room. It has been paid and charged by Expedia to the hotel. If we did not insist, and pay the cash, it will be no way to get it back, since no receipt and no transportation to visit the front desk.

Great camp, excellent food and staff. Very comfortable tent. Only issue is the drive to/from parking area could be better. Vehicle and driver needs improvement.

Aladdin Camp was excellent. Nestled within a valley, the vistas of the desert and distant mountains was breath taking. At night, the stars were as clear as you could imagine. Staff were friendly and helpful. Dinner and breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Our accommodation was perfect. We booked a Panoramic Tent with a balcony / terrace, and mountain views. The panoramic tent - as pictures show - had huge bubble windows overlooking the desert. It was a stunning experience. A word of note, Expedia lists this tent differently calling it a Panoramic Tent with balcony/Terrace. Some sites call it a Panoramic Dome with balcony/terrace. In any case, there is only one type of tent that has a terrace / Balcony and that has panoramic views through a window. I mention this because on arrival, staff showed us to two normal square tents with no balcony / terrace or panoramic views etc. After some discussion and showing my booking description, they gave us two tents with the balcony / terrace - as described on Expedia and concurring with the pictures on Expedia though not with king size bed - (we ended up with three single beds each - though they were extremely comfortable and had my best night sleep). So, worth checking your accommodation at point of booking. Apart from this blip, our stay was perfect. Staff could not have been more helpful. They went out of their way to make sure our stay was superb - and it was. We would stay here again without question.

Beautiful camp, and the people are lovely. We had a great stay.

We stayed 2 night in the bubble tent at Aladdin Camp and really enjoyed our stay. The manager, Mohammad as well as the rest of the staff were very nice and accommodating. The camp itself is clean and spacious and I appreciated the A/C (for daytime) and heating (for night), as well as a private bathroom with hot shower. We joined the 4x4 tour around Wadi Rum as well as Stargazing. We really enjoyed both activities! The camp included breakfast and dinner. The dinner was especially good and was prepared on site by the staff. I highly recommend staying here!
