I like the location and the ambience. I was offered a different room because of the problems with the utilities: The manager let me have a free cup of coffee because the coffee makers in the room didn’t work. They supplied a working refrigerator for my medicine. The hot water in the bathroom was hot.

These things did not work: the phone, the air draft shut off, the heat adjustment that was meant to warm the room, the two types of electrical pots to make coffee. I think I should not have been charged for the dessert. I wish they supplied breakfast like they did before Covid. But I guess not doing so is a cost savings. It used to come with the room rental.

Location was great. Lovely old building. Price was great. I would recommend it to anyone on a budget who is seeking a unique downtown location with a cool old school vibe. Short walk to many top Toronto experiences.

I am a bit too old for the stairs and the level of comfort. The floor boards creaked with every move including sitting on the bed. Lovely old building but it is showing its age just like me. Great for young people.

Its great for: - Friendly Staff - Bar next door - lively, friendly, sports, activities, good price - Great location - can get downtown or cross town easily on tube 5 min walk away. Room itself is boutique as says on the tin, A little small but has a lot of character due to the type of property. Comfortable bed, and large shower room. No lift
