Well behaved staff

There wasn't someone at the front desk when I arrived and had to wait 15 minutes for someone to come to the front desk. The door to the room #210 did not close on its own, it had to be pried up and pulled with significant force to close. the washroom was very outdated and had mold at the top of the walls where it met the ceiling. The toilet leaks internally and kept on filling up throughout the night.

The floor is sticky the lights are funky but the bed is comfy.

The pictures of the rooms at the Super 8 motel in Kirkland Lake (as advertised on Expedia) are nothing like the real thing. I wouldn’t send my worst enemy to stay at that motel. There are slithery looking bugs coming out of the floor boards. The smell in the room made me feel nauseous. It was dirty (mildew in toilet) and stains all over the walls. Unfortunately all other accommodation in the area was booked up or I would have gone elsewhere. I had paid in advance for two nights at the Super 8 but ended up changing my travel plans and leaving town after one night because of the state of the room they put me in. I had to sleep in my car! I will be seeking a refund from Expedia! Of course it is almost impossible to figure out how to contact a live person at Expedia in order to request a refund!! Expedia should send a representative to the motel for an inspection and then refuse to advertise the motel until they clean up their rooms! I paid over $200 per night for that room- talk about false advertising!!

Dirty. Tiny pillows. Most lights not working. Poor furnishing. Enough soap and shampoo for one shower. (Sample size). Very dated. Felt unsafe.

Was a good stay

The first room stunk as old smokers room and was called non-smoking plus had no lock on the door. Second room had hole in the shower and was covered in mold.
