Run down property, my crew wasn’t willing to spend the night.

I have stopped here several time over the years when I have drive from Alberta to Ontario. It’s convenient and I have never had a bad experience. It’s kind of like an old friend.

Everything was great

It was clean but smelled old

Breakfast was terrible

The hotel played loud music in their bay late into the night / early morning.

The check in staff was lovely. The breakfast was quite nice.

I would like to thank the lovely gentleman and lovely young lady who served us and spoke to me on the phone when I had concerns. We had an extremely bad experience at this hotel. We paid $600 for three rooms. There were 5 adults and 5 children in our party. The children were extremely tired when we arrived as were the drivers. We had no time to complain as we had to get the children to bed. We had Room 200. 201,203. Of these rooms two of them were filthy. One had hair balls, toys and dirt around the toilet. The soap was open and the toilet paper not on the spool. The room mirrors were absolutely filthy. The second room had nail clippings all over the carpet between the beds. The tv did not work. We DID report the issues to the desk. In the morning the gentleman on the desk offered us a refund for the rooms. We gratefully accepted. However when the refund failed to appear, I rang the hotel back and was told it would be in my account in the morning. It did not appear so I called again at which time I was told it would be done immediately. It appeared the next morning and immediately after the hotel debited my credit card for an additional $590 plus. This was done without authorization for me. I did not stay in their hotel on the date I was billed the second time. This is theft. They had no authorization to take money off my credit card a second tine. I then spoke to the manager who was rude, told me it was my problem because they could have provided me with other rooms that may have been more up to standard. Not worth the room change with five tired children. She also told me she had the right to take back my refund because the staff did not have permission to issue it.
