-- cheap amenities -- no bed light -- old, stained, stinky towels (is detergent even used?) -- bedsheets are not fitted; so chaos in morning -- wifi not stable, weak -- streaming TV was awful -- overpriced!
AEIt is clean, cosy pension with few rooms run by a Mexican couple. The owner is helpful but it is better if you speak Spanish. They can communicate English through translator though.
The door gets closed at 10 pm, you still can go out but maybe it is not too comfortable if you want to go to party (the gate makes some noise). Other than that it was ok.

El Sr. Rolando fue un gran anfitrión durante nuestra estadía en Bacalar. Tuvimos un percance médico y el nos asistió durante ese tiempo que no sabíamos para donde ir. También nos dió muy buenas recomendaciones para comer rico, tour a la laguna de 7 colores y todo a buen precio en el area al igual que para irnos a dar un masaje. La estadía en este hotel fue perfecto especialmente por el Sr. Rolando y sus atenciones.
AUNice for one night stay. A typical motel type place. Nice and clean. The owner was a real sweet old guy.
USVery clean, comfortable beds, free water provided daily and a beautiful inner courtyard with chairs to eat or relax outside. Location was also great, a short walk to the Lagune or main plaza.

SIIt is located really close to downtown and also the local beach and restaurants. The room was quiet which was a pleasant difference from Merida. It was clean with towels and shower gels. Check-in and check-out were quick and easy. The owner gave us a lot of tips on where to go and we booked a tour around laguna through him and we liked it a lot. I recommend it a lot!
