We always stayed at the hotel for years, location, restaurant and great staff

Critical feedback needed: I asked for the email of the Manager to explain something disgusting happened at breakfast buffet. Of which, no response was given from Caleb. I sent this letter via email to Caleb at: caleb.hill@thecenturyhouse.net The receptionist gave me this email after I requested it from her, and personally wrote it downnso we're assuming the information was correct. We never share this information below with anyone at the hotel including the receptionist. Discussed in the email: The gentleman attending the buffet on the morning of 10/29/25, small think guy, older in 60's maybe, sampled the buffet food, was chewing a lot using the serving utensil. I was disgusted. At the buffet, he stirred the eggs, and potatoes and took samples from the spoon and continued to stir the food. I'd check the recording videos on this situation to see for yourself, chances are this is a repetitive disgusting behavior. It was on 10/29/25 between 7:45 - 8:30 am, we don't recall the exact time. We chose not to eat there the next day. We checked in 10/28/25, had breakfast on 10/29/25 and witnessed this situation, the next morning we went to a local dinner for broadcast on 9/30/25 and chose to check out early and eat breakfast before we headed to the Animal Hospital down the road. We will not stay at the hotel anymore, it was our favorite but will not expose our health to this kitchen help. I felt Caleb should have apologized and taken care of this situation with the kitchen help. The rooms were amazing, the hotel was clean, and we enjoyed dinner at the Century House restaurant. Hotel has a certain charm. Staff is friendly and helpful. We stayed here for RPI parents weekend. We are going to stay again in May 2026.

Great staff

The front desk staff were friendly and efficient.

Property including ballroom, food and service were excellent

Upon arrival front desk always has welcoming goodies for the guests. Cookies, different type of infused fruit fresh water and my recent visit: Italian wedding soup after arriving late night 10:30pm and 10 degrees cold weather outside. So that was a great treat! Bonus their breakfast is pretty high up there compared to 2 other hotels near by that I stayed at.

The location was great. Food was good.

The room was dark.

Convenient location to visit with friends and family. Room is large, clean and quiet. Friendly staff and it's nice to have water and coffee in the lobby all day until 10PM.

Central location, lots of restaurants and retail stores nearby. Clean room, nice breakfast and the afternoon cookies!

Cookies ran out quickly daily. Entrance is on a busy roadway- difficulty entering/leaving parking lot
