Hotel Wilder Mann Aschaffenburg

A very last minute decision to check out one more area on our way to Frankfurt airport in the morning. It is a very cool old hotel. The building curves following the walk and the front faces a wall of gardens, the side higher rooms probably the water. Ours overlooked a courtyard. It's a close walk to town and many a Brauhaus. Only in for eve but a great way to end the crazy week.

Look, I can boil this down to one line - you might as well try sleeping on the central reservation of the M25. This is a 600 year old hotel with no charm or character. The rooms are very nondescript, although on the plus side we could plug in our android box to watch some TV. The hotel is right beside a very busy road, and the traffic noises are extremely loud. In the summer you can leave the window open for some ventilation and be certain that the traffic will wake you at dawn, or you can cook. They still have winter duvets on the bed which doesn't help that choice. and oddly while they do leave ear plugs in the room as standard, it's just one pair, so maybe you're supposed to rock/paper/scissors for them with your partner. Theres also a fair amount on noise from people walking in the room upstairs. The shower has good water pressure, but the shower stall is pretty confined (my wife gave out about it & she's just over 5 foot), and the pillows were far too high for us (personal taste on pillows I guess), so we just left them on the floor. there may be rooms in the hotel that wouldn't be precluded by traffic noise, but it's not worth the risk - stay somewhere else.

I enjoyed this small, somewhat quaint hotel. My room was a little noisy since it faced that street. It was a warm day and there is no air conditioning but you can get a fan. Otherwise it was comfortable and clean. The breakfast was very nice, with a large assortment of foods to choose from. The staff was friendly. I would return to this hotel if I get the chance. The location is also good, close to the river, with shops and restaurants nearby.

Sehr Zentrales Hotel. Super Restaurant, Frühstück mit allem was man sich wünscht. In die Altstadt nur ein paar Minuten zu Fuß. Zimmer klein aber zweckmäßig. Gute Parkmöglichkeiten

Nice hotel with a great restaurant. Room was spacious was clean and large for a German hotel room. One oddity was that the room had a bathroom that was down a small stairway within the room. Also to note was there was not any air conditioning. I went in May so it was not too bad. Might be a concern in the middle of summer. Parking is tight but manageable. Well within walking distance to many shops, restaurants and parks. Staff was very friendly and most spoke very passable English. Hotel has WiFi with a good signal.

Personal ausnahmslos sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Zimmer in die Jahre gekommen, aber sauber. Trotz Zimmer zur Straße durch Schallschutzfenster absolut ruhig. Frühstück sehr gut.

Sehr schönes altes Gebäude. Unser Zimmer war nett eingerichtet und das Bad sehr modern uns absolut sauber. Reichhaltiges Frühstücksbuffet mit sehr gutem Kaffee! Personal sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend.

We had the pleasure of staying here for three days while we enjoyed the incredible Bavarian scenery that is Aschaffenburg. The room was quiet, with a big balcony, hot shower, and huge bed. The staff was so friendly, multi-lingual, and the restaurant had an amazing menu. And it is right on the river. It’s a small walk to the castle. Small walk to the center. Small walk to just about anything in Aschaffenburg. And the Pomplejanum was beautiful to visit. All in all, this hotel is totally worth the stay away from the city center. It’s atmosphere was so warm and friendly and close to everything you could want to see. Two thumbs up!!!

Dejligt sted. Har været der flere gange efterhånden. Skøn beliggenhed med kort til både floden og centrum.
