Hotel Wilder Mann Aschaffenburg

We stayed for one night at this hotel for business. This is an old but charming building with fairly modern rooms and lots of history. Close to Aschaffenburg old town, where there are plenty of restaurants in walking distance. Limited parking but there is a big parking lot approximately 300 m away. Really good breakfast with excellent variety of different things. We did not try the onsite restaurant but it was crowded and the menu had a good selection.

Gemütlches, etwas verschachteltes Hotel mit sehr nettem Personal. In unseren Zimmer war das Wlan leider sehr schlecht und nicht konstant, so dass ich mit meinem Laptop in der Hand durchs Zimmer gewandert bin. Normales Doppelzimmer als Einzelperson war ok und sauber. Zum Restaurant kann ich leider nichts sagen, da ohne Reservierung nichts zu machen war. Das Frühstück war sehr gut und ausreichend. Für jeden Geschmack etwas dabei.

The friendly hotel staff were ready for our arrival. The hotel has one very slow lift. Our room was a decent size and seemed clean. The bed was comfortable enough and had all non-feather pillows--great for allergy sufferers. There were power outlets at each nightstand--perfect for charging phones and devices at bedside. The room had a minifridge. The bathroom had a shower (only) that had some mold in the grout. Housekeeping needs to give that a good scrubbing. The shower water pressure was excellent, but the hot water oscillated between cool and hot. The towels were large and thick. The washcloths were a very nice touch, as were the two magnifying mirrors. The free WiFi was not password protected (boo!) and kept cutting out, requiring a new sign in every few minutes--frustrating when trying to get work done! Some of my colleagues had no WiFi at all in their rooms--not good in this modern age! The hotel has a small open-air parking lot.

Professional and friendly staff. The hotel is older and well maintained - it even boasts its own garden! The attached restaurant uses the vegetables and herbs from this garden in their entrees - I wish I would have been there on a night it was open...I wasn't (Sunday night stay). The town is small and somewhat charming.

We stayed a night at the Wilder Mann Hotel in Aschaffenburg and couldn’t have been more pleased. What we loved about it was that it was an old-school German Hotel. It’s not a Radisson or a Hyatt, which suited us just fine. And the restaurant in the hotel had the same appeal. The dinner and the breakfast were wonderful. My wife and I are both military brats who lived in Germany and even met there 50 years ago when I was in the Air Force, so we have a soft spot for Germany. We had never been to Aschaffenburg before and we fell in love with it. After Cologne, Koblenz, and Frankfurt, Aschaffenberg was just the right size for us. We’ll never forget our evening stroll along the Main River just a block from the hotel. Also, the hotel has its own parking lot, which costs 7 Euros a day, a bargain considering you’ll pay 24 Euros to park at name-brand hotels near the Frankfurt airport.

had A wonderful stay ,close to everything, good location, every one very helpful, staff was exceptionally friendly, vert helpful .

Het restaurant en het ontbijtbuffet was goed. Ik mis alleen een plek waar je gezellig een drankje kan drinken.

Our original booking at another hotel was canceled without any notice, so we ended up at Hotel Wilder Mann instead. The staff was welcoming and helpful after a long, frustrating day of travel. The room was clean and quiet, and there was a nice courtyard/outside lounge area, which we enjoyed. The hotel restaurant was amazing - we really enjoyed our meals and the local Aschaffenburg beer. Breakfast was included and very good. The location was a little too far from the train station, but close enough to walk to local attractions like Schloss Johannisburg and the old town. There is free luggage storage so we were able to explore the town for a few hours after checkout before catching our train. Overall, a very nice hotel.
