Lake Blackshear Resort & Golf Club

The property was amazing and a great place to go into solitude. The only complaint that I had was that housekeeping was very loud. I work at night so I sleep during the day. I’m actually going back tomorrow but this time I will request a top floor in the last building to minimize noise. Other than that, everything was great and I will make this my go to spot from now on!

Secluded and quiet. Golf course and walking trails.

The room was nice and clean but woke up to a big spider on the wall and the reception lady was really like oh well I took a picture and showed it to her and she was like she will tell them to spray and I still had to pay the $15 for my stay

The room was not. Very clean, there was hair all over comforters. There was mold in shower and shower curtain. The ability to get clean towels was left to us to get at front desk.

There is something for everyone. Pool, restaurant, beach and marina. All within walking distance. The grounds are impeccable. The staff are very friendly. Loved that the resort is pet friendly.

Absolutely wonderful from start to finish! Can’t wait to come back!

Room not easy until almost 5 then they checked us into a handicap room with roll in shower so bathroom was flooded after shower and no counter space at all. No towels in room-had to wait almost an hour for them and then realized no coffee pot—called down 3 days to have one delivered and it never came. Stay was terrible for almost $200 a night -a shame. Have enjoyed staying here in the past.

These were great accommodations in the middle of a State Park. You have all the amenities of a resort and a state park in one location. If you absolutely need something from civilization, there is a Walmart less than ten miles from here at the interstate.
