Vergane glorie aan de binnenzijde. Extreem afgeleefde kamer, santair bijna zo oud als het gebouw zelf, gaten achter wastafel met zichtbaar vuil er in, tapijt waar ik niet met blote voeten over durfde te lopen. Bed en bedlakens waren schoon, bed oud en doorgelegen. Ontbijt enigzins OK, personeel aan de balie heel aardig, overig erg kortaf. Was niet duur, maar had graag meer betaald om een nette kamer te krijgen. Oh, ja de lift was ook kapot.

The room was not serviced once in a week long stay! This resulted in purchasing my own Tea, Coffee, milk and sugar. Was actually glad the room had a refrigerator! The tea/coffee making facilities that were offered were reasonable except that they were on such a low level that I was almost sitting on the floor to make a brew. The room hadn't been cleaned or prepared to a high standard, as there was a welcome leaflet under the bed and stains on the bed sheet! (Wish I had actually taken photos and complained about at the time, but there we are.) And the HEAT! The corridors were stifling!! The room did have a Fan, which was welcomed, however the window did not open enough for us to make much use of it. Also there were no charging points for phones on either side of the bed, ( I appreciate it's an old building, so I'll let that go) the wardrobe doors did not want to stay closed, so a bag was put in front to prevent us walking into an partial opened door in the night. Water pressure from the shower was intermittent, again it's an old building so I'll let it go. The dissapointing thing was there was no available door sign to alert Staff that the room required making up, we were just informed the room would not be serviced throughout the stay. This, i think is poor customer service and something that should be looked at.

We stayed for a wedding at the hotel, unfortunately it was the hottest June day, and our room was exceptionally hot. We were only able to open the two top tiny windows, and we needed more air!

Food was average, utensils at buffet too hot to hold, cleanliness overall could have been better. The hotel and especially the spa need updating.
