Spacious and Renovated Apartment With Amazing Patio, By TimeCooler

The location

No WiFi available, we contacted the owner twice without any response. The boiler wasn't working properly, hot water only for one person. Strong smell of paint, the dishes were dirty with rest of food. Extremely noisy apartment, everything that the upstairs neighbour do is heard from the property.

The apartment was lovely, but due to its location, it felt a bit damp. This is nothing that our hosts can control, but i think people should be aware of it. Other than that, it was a great place to stay

The hosts were fast and responsive in their communication. It's a comparatively larger apartment with a small open-to-air backyard. It's location is great in that it's right in the city and about equidistant from Pombal Square and the downtown area of Bairro-Alto.

Unfortunately, the other reviews are correct that the ceiling floor boards are so thin that almost every movement/step can be heard in this apartment. We booked anyway assuming it's general noise from kids, and we are used to that but this is much worse. We were lucky that the tourists upstairs were very accommodating and tried to minimize the sound by treading gingerly! The downside of the location is that it's bang in the center of a very steeply sloping narrow road - getting in and out to any place means a good five-ten minute exercise to cross first which can be difficult if you need to go multiple times to the apartment. Cleaning and maintenance definitely can be much improved. For some reason, Wi-Fi doesn't even reach up to the bathroom.

Very noisy, the appartement upstairs was very noisy, you hear everything. The talks and every step. The bed was broken 😨
