A unique experience! The only regret I have is that we stayed only one night. I strongly recommend reserving the overnight stay on Uros islands instead of doing a day trip: you support the unique community directly, and you avoid the hassle of organized trips. There are heaters to break cold if needed, separate sitting area inside your suite and great place to lounge outside. You can choose to interact with your host or to relax. It is worth every penny: you are fed three meals, transported to your island, given a tour of surroundings in a traditional boat, and even have access to a kayak. We would love to come back!!! Thank you!!!

We (family 15-62 years) stayed on this traditional Uros with Willie and his family. He shared a lot about the culture of the Urus. Food was great. The boat ride through the Uros was wonderful and even gave us some insights into the current life of the community. We enjoyed a spectacular sunrise from the observation deck and later from the couch of our room. An unforgettable experience! Thank you Willie.

Be prepared to be chilly when the sun goes down but there are very warm beds with lots of blankets.

I rarely write reviews, unless the place is really good, or really bad. This place was absolutely outstanding and one of the most memorable stays we’ve had in nearly a year travelling in South America. Franco and his family were incredibly kind and welcoming, the food was delicious and the room was unbelievably luxurious, considering it’s floating in a lake at 3,800 metres altitude! I highly recommend staying here.

Magical… what a wonderful experience we had at QHAPAQ Lago Titicaca. Franco is amazing – helpful, kind, friendly, knowledgeable, hard-working and reliable. He met us at the port and took us to the hotel. This initial trip by boat to the hotel was so memorable. I knew this was going to be a special trip from that initial moment - and QHAPAQ and Franco never disappointed. He sets the pace and helps you plan your day, whether exploring other islands, kayaking, visiting local residents and museums, star gazing, learning about culture, or simply relaxing and enjoying the amazing setting. Our room was beautiful, spacious, comfortable and uniquely decorated. It also had a lovely patio with a hanging basket chair and comfortable daybed. Big windows from floor to ceiling windows allowed you to view Lake Titicaca, as well as sunrise, sunset and the many birds in the area. Food – breakfast, lunch and dinner were all delicious. We had previously been in Peru for six days, however, the food prepared here was some of the best we had. It was also served beautifully in a dining room with a view of the lake. Franco helped arrange tours around the lake, but also added such personal stories and anecdotes, which made each activity more meaningful and memorable. It was such a wonderful, caring personal and relaxing experience. Franco takes a personal interest in you and cares about you enjoying your stay. It was a joy to stay at QHAPAQ – a wonderful, memorable experience that I will always remember and hope to return. I definitely whole-heartedly recommend. Thank you Franco and QHAPAQ!

Our stay here was incredible- so memorable! The room had an unbeatable view and Franco, our host was so kind and informative. We got to learn about the culture while staying in a luxurious suite. And Franco’s family was wonderful to meet-my daughters were so thankful to meet and play with Cathy (a girl their age)- Cathy, Keira says hi!! ❤️ Really an experience we will never forget!

Stunning place in Lake Titicaca with amazing hosts. The scenery is incredible, and Franco really made us so welcome. Everything is very well organised. Plenty of space just to rest and relax, and also go on excursions and learn about the Uros culture. The food was the best we’d eaten in a month in Peru.

It’s quite cold even in their summer (we were there in February) and the weather is unpredictable (sun, rain, high wind). So take lots of layers! And payment is cash only which is good to know in advance.

A very special experience staying in Uros a community located on lake Titicaca. The hosts made the experience incredible..teaching us about the culture and history of the area. The rooms were gorgeous with big sweeping views of the lake, the most comfortable beds, a bathtub! And 3 delicious meals. Thank you Franco and family we will never forget our time at your place.
