Very clean

They did not sell beer next-door. Nor was there a restaurant in the hotel.

Did not use the breakfast facilities

I think the $10 per car per night is a little excessive and paying for water in the room is ridiculous. everything else is first class and with the rates that we pay two bottles of free water would not break you.

Pismo Beach has a beach, but it's quite a distance south of this hotel. Spyglass Inn offers a paved walkway along the cliffs where you can look out over the ocean, but there are no stairs or paths down to the water -- nor would you want that, as this section consists of steep cliffs and crashing waves. That said, the hotel is nice, with a pleasant swimming pool. The restaurant, however, is closed for renovations and I was told it has been closed for a couple of years. The front desk provides a list of local restaurants, some within walking distance.

Loud people banging on things all night and our room had ants for the 2nd time in 2 stays

The scenery was amazing because it’s right by the beach
