Perdido Beach Resort

The resort was beautiful. Our room was huge. All the staff were very nice and helpful. Loved having the beach chairs provided! And the blue mat on the beach was great! It makes it so much easier for older guests to get down on the beach!

Alot of things were closed & not disclosed for stay ( hot tub, pizza and ice cream place)

Location, cleanliness and staff. One of the lobby bartenders could use a course in customer relations.

The initial greeting upon arrival of the resort was great from the attendants. The luggage transporters/bellhops were awesome ,and the room was very clean and spacious. We also enjoyed the live music from the pianist,and most importantly staying on the beach. We loved that it was walking distance.

One of the guests service attendant that checked us in who stated she was the manager was not friendly. It was quite disappointing to see her representing a reputable brand as a leader for a company such as Marriott with that kind of attitude.As a Regional leader myself , who lead multiple teams with a main focus on customer experience, I recommend she's provided additional training. Everyone can be nice,but how you make the customer feel (hospitality) is what makes the impact.In addition, she wasn't able to answer my questions and concerns confidently,regarding why she was requiring us to pay a higher incidental amount (30%) than what we were advised earlier during the week, which was $50 per day by a different guest service attendant. She stated that the policies had just changed within 1-2 days prior to our arrival, and that she had just found out which was concerning. I asked to speak with a manager higher than her,and she stated she was the only manager. We didn't want to hold up the line to prevent other people from checking in, so we went ahead and paid it. Later,my husband checked his credit card and saw that the hold amount was for the correct amount of $150. I’m not sure if she honored it after being questioned,or if we would have been over charged. My second concern was one of the house keeping attendants knocked on my door,or the room next door to clean the room. I advised her that my room didn't need cleaning, but ask for face towels. She advised me that she didn't have any and that I would need to call the front desk to request them.My thought was replenishing towels were apart of cleaning the rooms.In,addition I saw the towels on the cart.I also recommend placing microwaves in every room instead of having guests leave the comfort of their rooms to warm their food. Last, it rained every day, so we were only able to enjoy the beach one day, but that was no fault of the hotel.

We stayed here for a girlfriend trip and the extra sink and mirror bar area in room was a bonus for 2 women to get ready at the same time : ) Spotless property, and great staff. Beachfront is very nice here. Highly recommend!

Wish it was closer to VPS airport, but absolutely worth the drive.
