The Lodge At Uxmal

Stayed here for 3 nights with my mum who is in her 80s. Slightly more expensive than hotels I would usually stay in but location next to the ruins was perfect and the comfort/staff were excellent. For first 2 of the 3 nights we were the only guests in the hotel! Felt rather sorry for restaurant staff, one of whom shuffled up to our room one of the evenings to see if we were planning to eat there! I Offered to eat at their sister hotel in case they were able to go home early! The only downside to being only guests was that staff were maybe over attentive, and obviously we were the only candidates for trying to sell extra services/trips to

A great destination retreat . Room was very clean, excellent service and steps from the ruins of Uxmal.

We could not be more pleased. Gracious service and a comfortable room that's most compatible with the lovely surroundings. The Lodge almost seems to be part of the fantastic Uxmal site. Staying here makes it easy to enter Uxmal early in tbe morning before many tourists arrive, adding to the experience. They let us check out late so that we could refresh in the pool before leaving. The Lodge has a pleasant well run restaurant. We will certainly return and recommend it most highly.

The hotel staff was very welcoming and was genuinely happy we chose to stay there. The location is literally right next to the archaeological site, which makes it easy to tour. The hotel also offers guide service to which enhances the experience. The rooms and amenities are beautiful. The food/on-site restaurant was fine considering the location is in the middle of nowhere.

Our stay was just great. All the staff were helpful and welcoming, the service was almost faultless. Location, as in proximity to the Archaeology Park, is perfect. We will will be returning and have recommended to friends.

Beautiful place and surrounding. But, even with the upgraded room due to air conditioner failure, the modest buffet made for a very expensive stay. Even with the discount.

the staff was friendly, the room was clean and loved the jacuzzi tub, a dip in the pool. The Mayan ruins were minute walk. Early morning, we were alone in the site. Great stay

If you plan a trip to see the Mayan ruins at Uxmal, which are magnificent, then you should stay at the lodge, It is located right at the entrance in a beautiful location, the hotel itself is stunning, with carved solid wooden doors and stained glass features. The restauarant is very good and also reasonable. All the staff are very attentive and polite.We loved it.

We booked this hotel because of it's proximity to the Mayan ruins and and our concerns about driving back up to Progreso after dark. We're so glad we did! This is a lovely property, with a very tropical feel compared to north shore Yucatan. From check-in to our departure, we were made to feel especially welcome by Luis Fillipe whose attention to our needs was exemplary. Also a special thank you to William for making our dinner memorable with local Yucatan cuisine and the artist who created the unique dessert in celebration of our 32nd anniversary. Our room, second floor corner overlooking the pool was beautiful, with hand carved polished wood door, stain glass window accents, and high palapa ceiling. ..everything contributing to a wonderful celebration including a great day exploring the ruins and a gorgeous sunset from outside our deck area. We wish we had been able to stay another day or so and would go back again in a heartbeat.

The staff could not do enough and the Hotel was great but the room I was in was not great and not xxxx an average xxx but the location fantastic and overall experience good.
