The food

I liked the actual guesthouse; old country sytle house with lovely, stained windows, staff were welcoming and very sweet and friendly, Although the garden is in need of TLC and none of the water features were working and empty, the roses are amazing, & the birdlife in the garden was awesome. I enjoyed the fact breakfast was included and we sat outside, however there is definitely room for improvements regarding the breakfast options/ menu and with the renovations going on unfortunately it roughened the peace and tranquillity I believe this guesthouse has to offer. Knowing due to the rally it would be a busy weekend no renovations should have happened over the weekend in my opinion, Not the cheapest guesthouse so you really don't want building going on all weekend when I asked for a quiet room on request of booking.

So, Renovations where in progress, Builders were banging, grinding and worked throughout the entire 3 days we were there which was rather noisy, dusty and annoying. They were constantly leaving the gate open, and we had to keep asking them to move their vehicles as they stopped right in front of the entrance where our cars were parked. No choice of breakfast Saturday was fruit salad, bacon and eggs, beans, tomatoes and toast however on Sunday fruit salad and omelette filled with ingredients I didn't like so I really feel staff need to either ask what you would prefer and what items you do/ do not like beforehand perhaps I could suggest you make a list for guests to tick, Including how you prefer your eggs, beans yes/no, tomatoes yes/no, white or brown toast, and IF you happen to eat pork before just dishing everything on your plates. Saturdays breakfast I enjoyed - Sunday's brekkie disappointing and not as good! The water pressure was terrible in the shower not sure if everyone was showering at the same time as me, but the water kept running cold and hardly any pressure. Then the kettle cord was not long enough so we had to boil it plugged in on the floor ending up badly burning my leg on the stream which in reality could have been a Childs face, and so painful, this problem needs to be urgently looked into. We stayed in Room Chestnut, Room was clean but small for two people sharing, the curtains make it extremely dark, you are unable to open the curtains due to other guests being able to see in and the view is overlooking the dirt road and township location situated nearby so not an ideal view.

The quietness, of the place the peace of mind and the surroundings.

Bathroom needs attention, maintenance around the bath. Identification of switches ie heater in bathroom. Not sure if you put out guest soap or shower/shampoo gel ..... Wil be recommended.
