Avalon Lodge South Lake Tahoe

My boyfriend and I got to this location pretty early, the owners saw us and offered the $5 voucher for the beach which gave us full day access without paying $30. They were super sweet to provide that to us even though we hadn't checked in just yet. The room was really clean and the bed was pretty comfortable. When we checked out we went to a different beach, about 2 hours later we were heading out and I realized I forgot my sweater. I went to the front and they allowed me to go back to grab it which was awesome. 10/10 we will be coming back, we want to come back during the winter. Has the vibes for a nice snowy night :).

This was a great hotel. It has a very modern feel. Felt stylish and comfortable. I would definitely stay again.

Air Conditioner was out - Did not stay there

The room was dirty, the air conditioner didn't work, give us 2 fans but they were so dirty it was working but no air coming out, I was booked for two nights but we stayed one night

Carpet was bit dirty but not a big deal. Everything else was fine. Planning to go back next time.

The property has been updated nicely…great interior colors, tile work, and appointments in the room. There were a cobwebs and little spiders inside which freaked out my daughter. The exterior of the property was not kept up as well. The pool and spa were not open, there were Christmas candy cane lights still up and landscape needs some work.

Cable didn't work. No air conditioner. 1 small fan and 1 small ceiling fan took all night to cool down room and it was still warmer then outside. Place was trash. Stay somewhere else.

Location was good. Employees were helpful and personable! Bed was good but pillows were hard and old! Had hairdryer, iron, ironing board, extra blanket.

Shower was dark and looked impossible to keep clean and sanitized! No comfortable chairs to relax, only 2 straight-backed hard chairs. Decor could be lighter shade besides green & brown! Pool & hot-tub were out of order!

It was a nice hotel, but the front desk was not open. You needed someone you had to ring the Ring doorbell and even then they didn’t come out. You get free vouchers for Lakeside Beach but when I checked in I never was told or received them.
