La Residencia, A Belmond Hotel, Mallorca

I travel a lot - to some of the best hotels in the world - this is top notch. The setting, amenities, service, food are all next level. Everything is considered - blankets, heaters, Dyson hair dryers. We followed this stay with Cap Rocat - a big disappointment generally but especially so after experiencing La Residencia. This was our best Belmond experience to date - worth every penny!

We’ve been fortunate to travel extensively and stay at some remarkable properties over the years, including several other Belmond hotels. La Residencia sits at the top. We came for our babymoon, and from the moment we arrived the team seemed to understand exactly what that meant without it ever feeling scripted or performative. The care was genuine. The attentiveness was constant but never intrusive. The valets, waitstaff, pool attendants…every single person we encountered was warm, professional and, most remarkably, seemed to genuinely love being there. That’s rare. That’s culture, not training. The property itself is extraordinary - the terraces, the gardens, the views down toward Deià. But what stays with you is the detail. Chilled water and sunscreen waiting at your lounger without asking. Wipes for your sunglasses poolside - I’d never seen that before. A pregnancy pillow in the room…again, first time at any hotel. Small keepsakes when you check out. None of it accidental. Having stayed at Belmond’s properties in Sicily, Caruso and Reid’s Palace, I know the group sets a high standard. La Residencia matches it completely and in some ways surpasses it — because the intimacy of the property means the service feels personal rather than institutional. We left heartbroken to go. That’s the only review that matters.

Remarkable in every way! Just stunningly gorgeous and everything down to the last detail was perfect. Our children are ages eight and 10 and theyloved it! The hike with the general manager Thomas is a must do. Great heated pools, stunning views very friendly staff. They upgraded us tothe Matthew Williamson suite which is amazing and unbelievable. The bright colors are so cheerful and welcoming. One of the most special hotels in the world, and we will definitely back!

La Residencia is more than a hotel to my husband and I, it’s a luxury experience to recharge our batteries. The welcome is always warm, the location is one of this world’s treasures and the property is stunning. We very much hope to return soon.

We liked everything

A really top quality hotel in every aspect. We had 5 night there in a Double Deluxe Room with private terrace and garden - No. 53. This was excellent in every aspect. We cannot fault this Hotel in any way. An ideal location matched by the unique historical ambience of this hotel is quite unique and the best. The service given by ALL the staff is again the best. This hotel is just ideal for a 'special' occasion or just to relax and chill out.

This is the most beautiful hotel I’ve ever stayed in. You can feel from the moment you arrive that everything is truly about the guests. The rooms are comfortable and tastefully designed, and it’s genuinely a pleasure to be there. The staff are incredibly kind and attentive—not just polite, but genuinely caring. At breakfast, you can really taste the quality of the ingredients; everything is fresh and delicious. I will definitely come back.

Gorgeous luxury trip in the beautiful mountains of Mallorca. A hidden gem. Amazing hotel with personalised service which was outstanding. El Olivo, the fine dining restaurant is outstanding with so much creativity and story telling. An experience to treasure

Third time to La Residencia and hoping it won't be the last. We had a fabulous stay, the views all around are beautiful and the staff go out of their way to be accommodating. We were greeted with a lovely cold glass of cava and our rooms were ready at lunchtime. Breakfasts were divine with a relaxed air on the terrace but with impeccable service. Can't wait to return if we can
