Villa am Park Apartment

Nice building from the outside, even the same as in the pictures. It was very clean and only due to the underground location we were visited by various uninvited insect guests. Apart from that, peace and quiet.

A dark and damp basement in the suburbs. I do not recommend. After a long journey through Germany, we found an unprepared room in a damp and dark basement at the back of the building in the photos. At No.5A indicated in booking.com is a completely different house. There, we were received quite unpleasantly on the day of arrival, with pretensions that driving this several hundred kilometers from dawn across country borders in difficult to predict winter conditions, we did not give the lady the exact hour and minute of arrival, and therefore our room may be ready in about... 2 hours. And now we can do what we want, but the city center has been closed by the police because of some madman's attacks, we can't get anywhere, on foot a few kilometers so it's too far and too cold. It was Saturday afternoon, so the Georgian cleaning lady was currently occupied with the residence at No.5A, not the room of the guests who had booked it a month in advance. The owner of a villa like from a famous Korean movie kindly allowed us to spend the time waiting for the cleaning lady standing outside on the terrace of her residence, in december at -2 degrees with sleet falling. Finally, the cleaning lady gave us the key to the room in the basement, but we could live there only after she cleaned it. The cleaning lady gave us the password to the non-working wifi, made sure several times that we had paid for the stay with all taxes in advance and indicated the place to leave the keys when leaving. It was unpleasant to be asked to leave the room in the morning earlier than the time indicated in booking. However, because we had another 600km of snow-covered roads ahead of us, we planned to leave right after the morning plow had passed, so we didn't comment on it. The host installed kitschy colored LEDs in the floor of the room because they probably look nice in the pictures. Only at the same time he saved on an ordinary light bulb at the entrance to this basement.

Great location. It has everything we needed. Nice décoration for a basement. Confortable beds.

Wifi didn't work.

This was a big and well thought out apartment with all the necessary equipment for a long or short stay - even a dishwasher! 2 large televisions and a desk/work area. The appliances were all good quality. The bathroom very large and well planned. There was a garden one could use and private off street parking.

The linens need replacing : the towels were old, threadbare and once white were now somewhat gray. The sheets were tired and unpressed. The mattresses were lumpy and in my opinion along with the sheets & towels could do with replacing. The internet was so slow we used our 4G which worked. Both TV’s promised Netflix and Prime etc. but these options didn’t work.
